elvis15
LINK The Predators have announced they have re-signed defenseman Jonathon Blum to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the AHL level with a guarantee of $300,000 for 2012-13. Blum was the last of Nashville’s restricted free agents who had yet to be signed. He spent 33 games with the Predators last season and was a minus-14 before being sent to Nashville’s AHL affiliate in Milwaukee after the new year. Blum, 23, was Nashville’s 2007 first round draft pick. He was an integral part of the Predators’ playoff run two seasons ago, taking part in all 12 postseason games as a second-pairing defenseman. He fell out of favor in 2011-12 and was effectively replaced in the lineup by rookie defensemen Roman Josi and/or Ryan Ellis. Blum spent the summer in Nashville working on his conditioning in preparation for what he hopes will be a bounce-back 2012-13 (if there is a full season). Master Mind
Wasn't he supposed to be a top 4 last year for Nashville? Maybe he can become that next season. Good signing either way.
elvis15
Yup, he was, but he fell off for whatever reason. I didn't follow closely enough to know why.
Jägermeister
Hopefully he can live up to expectations. Always nice to see a former Giant do well in the bigs.
