Because the game uses the Best Lines feature every time the schedule is advanced, resetting your lines and potentially putting players on waivers.

Okay well how do I not have this happen. I want my young players to get top line minutes. What's the point of editing your lines if the game is Just going to do best lines

I think we should turn them off for the first few sim cycles.... then turn them back on when everyone has their lineup set

There's nothing you can do about it, unfortunately.

The game will still use your edited lines throughout the simulated period, so long as you don't suffer any injuries (if you do, it'll do Best Lines at the point of the injury instead of at the end of the simulation period).
