Detroit is also draft ready. We are extremely proud of Kronwall and Datsyuk for their awards this year. We are now working to be back in the playoffs next season, and it starts with a potential top 6 pick

Calgary has your 1st though, from the Giordano deal.

Agreed. What are we waiting for then? Is trav asleep or something?

Having draft and re-sign starting on the same day gives us more time for the season. Hopefully we make the playoffs last a little more than an hour next season.

Despite a terrible year, the Panthers are very proud of Jacob Markstrom for winning the Calder. The 6 foot 6 super swede is showing he's ready for the big leagues.

Also Calgary is willing to trade one of their picks in 1st round ( 6th, 8th, and Nasvilles) To either move up or down in the draft or for young players.

I'm against having the re-signing period tonight. I won't be home all night and won't get back around midnight.

Re-sign will be like 2 days long for your own FAs and 2-3 for league FAs, I believe

Columbus Bluejackets have their Draft Priority list ready.

I owe NYR our CBJ 2013 3rd as it was a conditional on NYR making the Stanley Cup Final in the Nash deal

I will have to take care of it later I guess. I will PM the NYR GM

Pittsburghs done their draft priority. Looking to move Derik Puliot, Oli Maatta and Joe Colbourne in the off season. Three High end prospects ready to be shipped out for upgrades on forwards and maybe Defencemen. Other players Can be moved along with them, PM me if you are interested in any of these 4 star prospects.

Mayray, did you do the trade to get your 1st back from PHI? I remember you said you had to trade your 1st to PHI's CPU in order to get the 2nd and 4th that was needed.

Please hold. I have 3 pending trades that have related draft picks. I'm negotiating them now, I shan't be long I suspect.

Does everyone like this schedule?

MON: NHL entry draft (you do not need to be on for this, as CPU drafts for you)
TUE: Re-sign phase
WED: Re-sign phase (2nd chance to re-sign players)
THU: Re-sign phase (last chance to lock up players)
FRI: Free Agency first day
SAT: July (offseason)
SUN: August (offseason)
MON: Pre-season and designate players to juniors/minors (waivers off for this section)
TUE: Sim first half of regular season to (41 gms)
WED: Sim to trade deadline (approx 61 gms)
THU: trade deadline (all day until 11:59 pm)
FRI: Sim to end of regular season (82 gms)
SAT: Rounds 1 & 2 of playoffs
SUN: Rounds 3 & 4 of playoffs

It's the one CanucksFanMike proposed a bunch of pages back.
I'm going to hate Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That's a lot of simming..

not a fan tbh. Too many games being simmed at once. should be no more than a month a day. Why do we need a whole day for the draft? Such a waste. If we have it today, it will give us an extra day for the season.

I like that schedule ^. Also Trav, could you tell me the CDC name of the Oilers GM, I still haven't got Paajarvi after a whole season and was hoping I could have him to start next season. I checked the OP and saw Oil Rigger listed as the Oilers GM, and I know that he isn't the GM at the moment.

Thanks!

Boston and Ottawa are available.

Boston dropped down today because he doesn't have time.

Ottawa I've messaged with no response and he never comes to the thread. If he wants Ottawa back then he should message.

Also on top of that, if Ottawa is to be inactive during the re-sign phase and FA phase it will screw over his team.

if it's on CPU, they'll resign to whatever the players ask for. That's as fair as anything.

Trav, the Islanders and Avalanche have made a deal and it should be in your inbox.

The Colorado Avalanche hockey club are very excited to have acquried veteren goaltender Rick DiPietro, prospect center Casey Cizikas and defenseman Toni Lydman from the New York Islanders. We would also like to thank Thomas Vanek and Lubomir Visnovsky for their year in Colorado, and wish them well in Long Island.

Whats with the big hurry.

I would like simming in 15 game blocks so you have time to make roster changes for injuries.

and 1 day for the whole playoffs seems unrewarding.

I would rather have a 15 season game and take a little more time to be able to work with your team.(roster changes, trades and scouting)
Than a 25 season game and you are helpless to do anything.
IMHO

I sort of agree with you. The current schedule would take a lot of time out of my life too, lol.

Also I feel like if we did 25 seasons, a lot of the people in this thing will drop out because all the players will be generated players from EA. There will be nobody that anybody knows.

I agree with this. Simming large portions of the season in one day (41 games in the first sim) really screws the rebuilding teams because we need to alter our lineups after the CPU "best-lines" our roster. It kills our prospects' development when they automatically get scratched, demoted, or sent down to minors/juniors every time there is an injury.

Maybe we can just shorten the offseason and give more time for the actual season.
