There was a time you could change players types too. That was nice for if you had a bunch of PWFs and you wanted one of them to take more shots than the others, like I'd love to have Bobby Ryan doing

Also, re: sims, I'd still think later is a bit better. A 4pm sim means people who actually sleep at night and work during the days get as much chance to make changes as they do now. I'd be willing to transfer Commissionership every day with trav and do one, like, after supper. 9 pm? Give people a chance to get home, eat, throw on the PS3, then come back before bed and make changes so things don't happen like Shea Weber missing 20 games due to a healthy scratch. Changing Commissioner is easier than anything in the game menu, so it's not a hassle.

Wow EA sim engine is crazzy. I belive my highest rated skater is 80 overall yet we find ourselves 3 points out of a playoff spot

OVR doesn't really matter; it's the individual attributes. For example, Endurance counts for exactly 0% of a player's OVR, but it's a pretty important attribute, especially for top-pair dmen.

Yea that's why I gave Ryder all that money his offensive category is top 4 material. It's all about the individual stats.

I say one soon and one at like 2:00AM

That would be best to have your strongest lineup to finish the last 3 weeks of the season for playoff positions.
It will give you a chance to set your lines instead of the CPU!
And do one more scouting assignment.

I agree with doing two sims today. Maybe one around 7 and then again at 2

That 2 sims a day thing seems a little tedious. I'll give it a shot.

It'll make my PS3 stay on way more than I want it too. I've had the YLOD 4 times so, for this new PS3 I haven't been over-playing it like my last ones.

It might get a little annoying waking up, loading up NHL, doing a sim.....screwing off for a bit, turning it off, going to work. Go to nightshift, get back from work, sim, then have free time. Lol.

Usually when I get up I have things to do that's why I only sit on here for like 10 minutes to read the thread and PM's then go to day shift.

Trade deadline has passed now so I doubt you'll have many PM's until after the playoffs.

It is a lot of work to sim twice a day. I would think its most beneficial if the last day of the regular season and the playoffs were simmed twice a day. All the other stuff isn't as important and everyone is on an equal playing field.

Is it not going to be annoying switching Commissioner every day?

I dunno how it works, but if it's as easy as just clicking on the guy's name then why not? After you sim at 2am or whatever, just make Coleman the commissioner, and after he sims at dinner time, he can just give the title back to you.

He'll then be in charge of whatever trades get proposed too. Obviously not at the moment though because it's passed the deadline.

Simming 2 weeks now. If it disconnects, then that just sucks. I'm just simming and leaving right now.

I'll sim the other 2 weeks later.

I trade for Larose and now he's injured for 6 weeks. On a positive note, I managed to squeak into 8th in the east. But with Skinner and Morrow out for a few more days it's gonna be a bumpy finish.

aaand there goes Hunwick for the second round of the playoffs. what was the rule with FA's, we can't sign them in-season? Past the deadline?

nvm, looks like you can't sign them past the deadline anyways

wtf, in transaction it says hunwicks gone for 6 weeks, but in injury report it says 46 games, that's quite the difference. Does it mean 46 days?

Holding onto 1st in the Central division by a thread. Thankfully, it looks like I'm comfortably in a playoff position at least.

Most teams seem to have 3 or 4 guys out w/ injuries right now while some teams don't have any. It really doesn't seem that bad compared to real life ...

My injured players come back now that there's a month left. :picard:

I was doing good and then Neal, Kunitz and Clarkson get injured. 3 Top 6 players.

Going to sim another 2 weeks right now. I'll be simming until the end of the season by the time I finish.

A sprained thumb? Seriously? A sprained thumb is going to keep you out of the 1st round? For real? A sprained thumb?
