For Colorado and Columbus, it was because of the contracts thing. The pick was so I could trade Jones for nothing, but Draz was added to make it happen and we just threw away the picks.

I'm going to say it now, at the end of the first year we should let everyone re-sign the guys who re-signed in real life recently. We started this league early so we could get all the trades done, but now there's some important players who have re-signed who's contracts will be up after the first year.

In my test sim Burrows, Lehtonen and a few others were up in FA. I signed almost all of them to the Devils pretty easily because I have a lot of cap space left. I overpaid for them and just like that I had a great team with a new franchise goaltender. Lol.

If it comes to that, but the GMs have the week before Free Agency to negotiate those contracts, and the CPU is always willing to let big contracts go if it can. So, they kind of already get that option, don't they?

Dont you have an option to re-sign players before becoming UFAs like you do in BeAGM?

Well, we can't force them to sign contracts either way lol. The owners still have the right to sign. In most situations, like Evander Kane or Burrows, they actually sign for less. In some cases, much less.

Does his position affect their chemistry in a sim though?

In mine he asked 3.9m, Kane only asked 4.2m. But that's dependent on their contract years. Either way, in most cases, they sign in the same ballpark, but regardless of that, if they won't sign a contract we can't force them

I really want to get this thing up and running. I cant even tell what trades have gone through in the game so its hard to set up a strategy and edit all my lines

Well, it'll cause more issues to just box out people who have been participating but won't be here for that date. It seems like everyone should have it by the 18th, for now let's just focus on accepting trades in our queue. There's a lot of trades on the list where both teams are here and it isn't put through. The best way to ensure a quick start once everyone gets the game is to make sure we're ready for them.

It keeps logging me out of EA's servers when I go to connect. And the few times I get in, it takes like 5 minutes to load and the menus are so slow.
