Not sure if it will be successfull. Emotionless robot cop? People look for emotional / deep feely shows these days.

As robot cops go, he was pretty emotional.

I like how they basically just took one member of the supporting cast of both Batman and the Avengers and hoped for the best.

What's with the intricate little details in body armour? They serve no functional purpose other than for looking stupid. Also, where are the reflective hi-viz police markings, identification numbering? The cop car looks pretty stupid too.

I hate reboots officially.

Why reboot? Why not just make new movies following a cool storyline?

Only reboot that has been any good lately was Star Trek, and that was largely based around a great cast + excellent producer/Director.

I like what Terminator has done with their franchise. No reboots, just keep building the story. And sure, actors change, suit designs change, characters change, but it's easy to forget about that once you start watching a kick ass movie like Terminator Salvation.

Acting, Directing matter. Not budget, not some stupid writer who thinks he can re-invent a classic.

Go to hell Robo3...You'll have to prove yourself BIGTIME before I give you any more of my time.

I beg to differ the only reboots that have worked are Batman and the Bond franchise. Star Trek had a great cast but the story was pathetic. A officer trainee (midshipman/ensign) forcing his way to command? It would have made far more sense if he came back to the Academy after losing Captain Garrovick, and a Lieutenant Kirk vowing to win the "no-win" scenario. Then at least Kirk would have had some experience and would be a more realistic choice as a second in command, and eventually Captain.

While I agree with the "go to hell Robo3" sentiment this wouldn't be the third robocop movie. Not counting the awful television series which I believe spawned a movie as well there was already a robocop 3 and it was terrible; I'd rather they pulled an evil dead and just went on like nothing happened.

Anyone else think he looks like a villian from the original power rangers series? Apparently there are actually 4 different versions of the suit in the "film". Original being close to the original and then it evolves from there.

Well that's not the same car I don't think but the original Robocop rolled out is a sweet Ford Taurus so really even if it was that car it would be a lateral move.

Looks just has dumb as Dredd 3D, come on Hollywood, a little more originality would be appreciated.

Hey! The new Dredd was really really good.
But yeah, I think I've had enough of remakes this year.

This latest incarnation of Robocop looks stupid. It looks like a guy wearing a robotic suit rather than someone who is actually part robot.

I hate reboots of originals, 99% of the time it will suck, with 1% it will be decent. This is reminds me why I never go out to the theaters to watch movies anymore. Nothing to do with downloading or whatnot.... just the movies out there blows.

Hollywood is running out of ideas and they are starting to recycle old movies lol!

No. There's actually lot's of original screenplays. The problem is money. Producers would rather spend money on remakes and sequels because they come with a build in audience. Guaranteed return.

Original and sequel stand the test of time. New stuff is generally weak, it's all been done.

Man that's bull that they're making him get taken out by a car explosion. The original's gun torture pretty much just kept kicking audiences in the balls, and it made us cheer for RoboCop that much harder when he was kicking ass.

frack this remake
