I would rather keep Ballard over Volchenkov

Connauton is a really underrated defensive prospect who could potentially crack the Canucks roster this year

Raymond, 1st >>> Clarkson

Overpayment by us

But what I will say is well done spelling Connauton right.... most CDCers spell it Connaughton and for whatever reason it really bugs me B)

You're not serious, are you?

Anyone with common sense would take Volchenkov over Ballard.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Maybe add a D prospect from NJ to make up for lost depth, then MG might do it.

Volchenkov's awful, and has an even worse contract. Why trade one overpaid dman for another?

Because Volchenkov is twice the top 4 D man Ballard is. Volchenkov also has a nasty side to him.

Good value, but I doubt the Devils would give up Clarkson

Yah I hope so too. Like why would we want some guy who can score 30 goals a year, fight and hit for someone who does nothing but falls down. Why would we want a guy known for his shot blocking abilities for a guy who's not good at anything and is constantly injured and when he's not injured has been a healthy scratch? Yah terrible deal for the Canucks. We don't want your trash NJ!
