vancanfan
http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/fireice/ SKA St. Petersburg of Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League announced on its website today that Devils right wing Ilya Kovalchuk will sign with the team Tuesday. The team plans to make the official announcement of the signing at a Tuesday news conference. Kovalchuk, 29, would sign a contract that would allow him to return to the Devils when the NHL lockout is over. SKA St. Petersburg tried to lure Kovalchuk to the KHL when he became an NHL unrestricted free agent in 2010 before he re-signed with the Devils. SkeeterHansen
I'm willing to bet some of these Russian superstars are going to stick around in the KHL. They can make the same (or close to it) amount of money, they're at home, and the talent level isn't as high, making them superstars X2. Guys like Kovalchuk will love it. DownUndaCanuck
All these NHL stars are going to light it up overseas. Then they'll probably love it so much to be their league's best player and decide to stay. Then again, everyone wants a cup...
