Well no, not in any sense like that. I was just really, really looking forward to it, and it not only failed to deliver on pretty much everything it was supposed to, but it did pretty much the opposite. Even with games, I'm playing other stuff and enjoying it, while Mass Effect 3 pretty much remains an example of serious awfulness. Spent so much time talking about it that it's stuck on the mind, lol. It's very apt in these discussions though,

Was trying Earthworm Jim, but I just got pissed and shut it off, lol. I don't know how I managed to play that one as a kid. Good game, but frustrating and difficult.

Also played X-Men 2: Clone Wars, but it's actually my first time trying it. I had never played the game before. Solid game as well, but it also manages to be difficult. It's like there are times where you're just walking straight into damage.

The first Deus Ex was such an awesome game. I was replaying it last winter and I was still finding out new things about it!

The original Half-Life was also really fun, it fact it's still one of my favorite games today and it seemed to take forever to beat!

Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 with Yuri's Revenge plus with the Deezire mod installed was a blast!

And of course Diablo II, that's actually where I got my username from. When it first came out me and my buddy used to play it through dialup, I was a necromancer he was a barbarian, he named his Happyman, I named mine Gumballthechewy and a legend was born.

Oh I almost forgot! System Shock 2! That game was so creepy and awesome! I gotta try getting that one to work on Win7...

Age of Empires 1 and 2 IMO was one of the most addicting and best games of the 90's

Played Streets of Rage 2 and Final Fight 3. Was able to finish finish Streets of Rage 2 on the one continue (I play this game often), but I wasn't able to complete Final Fight 3. Really crapty bossfights in that game, lol. But it's otherwise a lot of fun.

Last winter I downlo- er... found my old NES and played the original Legend of Zelda game.

I started playing on Saturday night around 6pm and finished the second playthrough by Sunday at around 11pm.

Ahh, fond memories from my bachelor days.
Then again I still do crap like that, ha ha! :P

Did you ever play morrowind? if so... take that game and rewind its technology several years then, double its difficulty!
It was an open world game with tons of barren flat lands to explore (and get your ass whooped in)
If you got an invite the the dark brother hood you DID NOT say no...
if you did the guild hunted you and their assassins where tough!

I hear its free now through the elderscrolls site, but you have to get some dos engine to play it... Im too behind the times to muck with mods and emulators.

Just take a note from me Kids;
Take care of your systems and your games! If you do, you can still play them 30 years later!

Sounds like fun, I know how to work dosbox so if it works with that I'll be set!

I still have my SNES and a few games, most notable (to me) are Zelda A Link To The Past, Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger. Growing up (in the early 90's) my parents had an NES but that thing I found was so difficult to get working sometimes!

I agree, my original nintendo is very picky, but I havent found a game that I absolutely cant get to work in it. Also, if you slap the game genie on the end of a cartridge, it always seems to work better! *winks*

What about mortal combat? When that first came out for SNES, not only was it ground breaking graphically, it didnt have to deal with any damn game ratings. ha! I said "mom, i want mortal combat!" she said "sure thing!"

There was one game I never could get working but I can't recall what it was now.

I use to have it plus a bunch of other classics (Donkey Kong 1 & 2, Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, + others) but I left them at a 'friends' and I've never seen them again...

I sometimes play Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and I used to play NHL 2002 a TON. Great games.

I used to play N64 games too, most notably Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, and Mario Tennis. I don't really play them anymore.

I also recently beat The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on the Gamecube (About one month away from being 10 years old).

when I was a kid didn't even know you could get mew. I just knew the cinnebar island cheat of unlimited items. I also didn't like psychic pokemon as a kid cause I could never figure out what they're strengths and weaknesses are. Now I realize that Alakazam is the bees knees

Well that's simple, if it's Red and Blue, they're strong against everything and weak against nothing! :P I always snagged an Abra north of Cerulean City as soon as I could.
