To Van- Drew Stafford,Marcus Foligno, Andrej Sekera.

To Buf- Edler, Raymond.

Again, only if we can't get edler signed. I'm against trading Hansen but I think this is a good deal.

To Van- Shaw and a 2012 1st,Hayes

To Chi- Luongo,3rd 2013

Lineup

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Stafford
Foligno-Lapierre-Hansen
Higgins-Malholtra-Kassian
Shaw-Weise

Hamhuis-Bieksa
Sekera-Garrison
Ballard-Tanev

Schneider
Lack

This is getting younger with still keeping all our core.

Thanks.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Edler could get those players on his own, and we get poo for Luongo.

I wouldn't do the 1st trade, and for the second, I'd take out Emery, and Hayes and add a 1st rd pick on their side. Shaw looks really promising.

And to the Mods, PLEASE GET RID OF THE FACEPALM ICON!!!!! I'M BEGGING YOU! IT'S REDICULOUS TO THINK SOMEONE CAN'T COME UP WITH A WELL-THOUGHT OUT RESPONSE SO THEY JUST ADD AN EMOTICON EVERY FRIGGIN' TIME THEY DON'T LIKE A POST.

I think if Luongo's going to Chicago, the Hawks would have to give us at least one of their core pieces in return as with Luongo we may be handing them another Cup. Maybe Shaw and Bolland for Luongo and a 2nd?

Buffalo doesn't do the first trade. Sekera was arguably the best d-man for the Sabres last year. Sabres need offense as well so trading Stafford away is unlikely unless another top six forward would be coming back. Edler also probably wouldn't re-sign in Buffalo

With Shaw we could be getting a future 50-60 point guy. and Hayes is tough, big at 6-6 and skilled for a guy that size which will help in the playoffs. Foligno got 13 points in 14 games last year and stafford would be amazing with Kesler and Booth,He is already a 50 point guy and Sekera is a good defenceman on both ends of the ice.

Yes he would because him and Ehrhoff were dynamite and Buffalo would overpay for him to stay, and imagine having Edler, Ehrhoff, and Myers. Raymond would fit into their top six nicely. Everybody is under valuating Raymond because of a bad year. He got over 50 points the year before.

You're off your nut if you think Bolland would fit in nicely here...

This is the same guy that called the Sedin's sisters and said they shared bunk-beds...and then he's gonna turn around and call Henrik Captain?!?!!

Bolland is arguablly one of, if not the best third line center in the game, something we haven't had since pre-injury Manny.

I think you're missing my point.

And my point is that I put my hate for Bolland aside and realised what wonders he could do for our team. One thing is is that he could let Kesler only worry about offense and Bolland can take care of the shutdown duties.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Booth - Kesler - Kassian
Shaw - Bolland - Lapierre
Higgins - Malhotra - Hansen

Sekera is one of the Sabres top shut-down d-men and he comes at a steal of a price. The Sabres have enough offensive d-men on the team and there is still a question mark with Edler signing. Don't think they would overpay for another d-man when they have other issues to address right now.

You think Edler wouldn't resign with Ehrhoff? The Sabres best d-man was Sekera...you really think Edler wouldn't fill that hole, and then some? You also said Buffalo, as you pointed out, need offense. Edler and Raymond would make up for the loss of offense from Stafford and Sekera threefold. Buffalo would take this deal 8 days a week, 25 hours a day.

We get royally screwed in the CHI deal though...

If the Sabres needed an offensive d-man they would definitely take the deal, but they don't. Ehrhoff and Myers already fill that void on D. They also have Brayden McNabb coming through the system who is also going to be a legit offensive threat on D. Edler would re-sign with the Sabres but only if he gets a contract in the range of 6-7 mil per season, which the Sabres can't afford. Edler is definitely a better d-man than Sekera, but Sekera is at a better contract, better defensively and he plays a prominent role within the organization. The Sabres can't afford to lose another top six forward in Stafford as well without replacing him. And no, Mason Raymond will not fill that void. Marcus Foligno also looks to be a promising prospect so I doubt the Sabres trade him.
