You think Edler wouldn't resign with Ehrhoff? The Sabres best d-man was Sekera...you really think Edler wouldn't fill that hole, and then some? You also said Buffalo, as you pointed out, need offense. Edler and Raymond would make up for the loss of offense from Stafford and Sekera threefold. Buffalo would take this deal 8 days a week, 25 hours a day.

We get royally screwed in the CHI deal though...

If you're so sure Edler would resign cuz of Ehrhoff then why didn't Ehrhoff resign for Edler?

And my point is that I put my hate for Bolland aside and realised what wonders he could do for our team. One thing is is that he could let Kesler only worry about offense and Bolland can take care of the shutdown duties.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Booth - Kesler - Kassian
Shaw - Bolland - Lapierre
Higgins - Malhotra - Hansen

That's great you put your hate aside...but I'd have a hard time believing the Canucks can do the same. There are some players that will never play in other team's jerseys.

Could you imagine Chara in a Montreal jersey?
How about Crosby in a Philadephia jersey?
better yet,
Bertuzzi in a Colorado jersey...

Bolland in a Canucks jersey,
it just doesn't work
My 2014 Draft wishlist: 1st rd: Draisaitl, Virtanen, Scherbak. 2nd rd: Brendan Lemieux, Thatcher Demko (Goalie)

Both underpayments. Luongo can get more, Ottawa doesn't even reply to that proposal, they just hang up after MG is done talking.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

You're off your nut if you think Bolland would fit in nicely here...

This is the same guy that called the Sedin's sisters and said they shared bunk-beds...and then he's gonna turn around and call Henrik Captain?!?!!

I think you forgot that we signed duco and he was calling us "divers" and stuff, it's hockey that's what Bolland is pay to do piss people off not have everyone love him, I hate the guy but he would be great to have on our 3rd line

Shaw isn't going anywhere, he provide a lot of grit and energy that the Hawks can't replace if he leaves. If you want to propose a trade with Chicago then you have to work with this pool of players (not all of them): J Hayes, Kruger, Leddy, Hjalmarsson, Frolik, Stalberg, Pirri, Olesz, Crawford and Emery. So pick a combination of these guys and a corresponding combination from the Canucks (including Luongo) and let's see what we can do. Realistically, none of the Blackhawks "core", Shaw, and top prospects will be included in a deal for Luongo.

I think you need to look at this. Vancouver and Chicago are one of the biggest rivals in hockey, and if Chicago doesn't send one of their core players back to Vancouver for Luongo, the Canucks are basically handing the Hawks another Cup. Because really, what team would beat a line up like this in a 7-game series?

Sharp - Toews - Hossa
Shaw - Kane - Bickell
Saad - Bolland - Frolik
Hayes - Kruger - Carcillo

Keith - Seabrook
Hjalmarsson - Roszival
Leddy - Oduya

Montador, Brookbank

Luongo
Crawford

I dont' see any guarantee that the Hawks win with Lou in net.
He is better than Niemi in my mind but the Hawks were much deeper in '10 than they are now.
No Ladd, no Big Buff, no Campbell, no Versteeg .......
I for one just think it's wrong but hey we did OK with a goalie of Italian ancestry once before .... no cup though!

You're kidding right?? Where's the purple font?

None, I repeat none of the Chicago core will be involved in a trade for Luongo. I know many Canucks fans think Lou's worth it but Hawks fans don't. Personally, I'd like Luongo in Chicago but not at that price. The best forward you could expect from Chicago is Stalberg or Kruger (as part of a package). I'm a Lou fan, but I just don't see a fair deal between Chicago and Vancouver involving Luongo. Sorry guys.

I agree. I don't even want Bolland here. He is a great player, but he would start a whole lot of infighting and destroy our chemistry. While we are at it we might as well get Andrew Ladd to play with Kes.

I don't think there ever will be a Lou trade to Chicago. I don't want to hand you a goalie who could win you the cup without getting something good in return. At least with Toronto we know that it isn't happening anyway.

That's what I've been saying. It's fun to play around with trade scenarios, but I think there's a 0.001% chance Luongo ends up in Chicago. Personally, I think the best spot for Lou us Toronto. He would go to a non-playoff team that you would see only twice per year in the regular season and realisitcally never in the playoffs. The only risk is the media, and what they would say about Gillis is Luongo somehow vaulted the Leafs into being a contender (Luongo is good, even great but he's not that good).

I wouldn't do the 1st trade, and for the second, I'd take out Emery, and Hayes and add a 1st rd pick on their side. Shaw looks really promising.

And to the Mods, PLEASE GET RID OF THE FACEPALM ICON!!!!! I'M BEGGING YOU! IT'S REDICULOUS TO THINK SOMEONE CAN'T COME UP WITH A WELL-THOUGHT OUT RESPONSE SO THEY JUST ADD AN EMOTICON EVERY FRIGGIN' TIME THEY DON'T LIKE A POST.

Really guys....be creative, and don't be a doucher
