Would you ever be okay with the thought of sending Luongo to the Oilers?

I'd consider the trade if it was for Eberle(sp) and RNH and a pick.

I don't buy the division thing. So that's 4 extra points a year we're worried about possibly losing. The only reason it's not done is that GM's are reminded of it more often if they play against them lots during the year.

I want to see Hartikainen in a Nucks jersey so bad. Him and Gagner would be a reasonable return.

Edmonton is bad enough that if we traded Lui there it wouldn't matter in terms of our division

Oilers were probably offering Hemsky + 1st or Gagner + 1st.

lol @ Hemsky. Try harder, Oilers.

Hahahaha!

Eberle or RNH for Luongo?

Holy smokes my fellow canuck fans sure provide some ridiculous ideas to laugh at! Might as well be dreamers hey?? Gives us even more to complain about when impossible things don't happen, no matter how bad we want them to.

Trading Luongo within the divsion just wont happen unless Edmonton overrpayed, which they wont do.

Oilers obviously have some great young talent but having Luongo added to their team is a huge improvement for them and they would be close to becoming a contender. Lets not help them too much. If we got a good return it could be interesting but personally I just don't see it happening.

columbus has shown some interest in lu....if lu was to drop his ntc to go there, i'm sure a good deal could get done.

Tambellini and Luongo have close tides from the time he was Still in the Canucks organization as a GM, and tides from the 2010 olympics. I will not be surprised to have people like Dave nonis and Tambellini showing interest. Nonis and Tamby are still friends despite being an Oiler GM. That being said, not a fan of Hemsky, Gagner or Pajarvi, but if the offer was Gagne and Pajarvi, it's a pretty close offer. I take Hall straight up for Luongo too, and Oil fans are more high on Eberle.

Well, I , I feel very good about this draft, but I, I think, potentially you know were gonna have 3 or 4 NHL players out of this group, ummmm, you know like we are not going to prejudice to were they are from.

-Jim Benning June 27, 2015 shortly after the completion of the 2015 NHL Entry draft in Miami Florida.

Luongo would never waive his NTC to go to Edmonton... his wife would probably divorce him if he did.

Nah, she'd probably just continue to live in Florida while Luongo lived in Edmonton. Lot's of devotion there.

As jagermeister points out correctly, who in their right mind leaves Vancouver for a life in Edmonton?

This is so wrong in so many ways.
