It kicked in today...

Watching my four girl and five year old boy. I'm missing the Canucks already. Going to be a long year. My son falls asleep watching them play all winter. =(

It might seem more realistic if you put them in Ronning jerseys.

Seriously though, I'm jealous. Having kids never worked out for us. You're getting to do something I always dreamed of doing.

I'm saying Aladeen a lot because http://forum.canucks...dpost__10922428

I bet when Schneider turns 38, he will have broken all of Luongo's records.

Doesn't always work out.

I have three daughters. Only one has shown an interest in skating.......

.....figure skating. If you think minor hockey is expensive....

Orland Kurtenbach and Dennis Kearns had just been torched 8-1 by the Habs, but they still took time to come out to meet us, some fellow BC boys who were playing hockey in Montreal. THAT"S what being a Canuck is!

I didn't think I was going to have any children either, so I know what your going through. But then my wife started spitting them out like she was a pez dispenser. I'll be retired by the time they go to college, lol.

Just remember, half the fun is trying. =)

Easy costume. Replica jersey and one of those fake noses....

....oh, and a 4 year-old's vocab should be just about perfect for "Burrows English"...

True enough, but if we started having them now, I'd be retired before they got to high school! Instead, we just embrace our role as the cool aunt and uncle.

For example, I taking my nephew (he's 3) to his first ever hockey game for his birthday next month. I can't wait!

My little guy is 3 and just started skating lessons last week. I can't say any of what I saw reminded me of hockey but I am going to hate the extended break until the season starts.

You're kids are adorable man and look at them upright. My little guys still learning to get up off the ice. Not gonna lie though I shed a pride tear when he didn't cry until we told him "practice" was over. Wiggled and grunted whenever someone came to help him proclaiming "I do it Daddy, let me do it please".

Hopefully future NHL'ers, but not the Canucks. I wouldn't want those kids to deal with the tens of thousands of idiots in this market.

I know exactly what you mean, EOTM.

I remember when my daughter was in her first year of competition. (around 7 or 8) She took a spill in practice. I didn't think much of it, until about 10 minutes later when I noticed her holding her right arm at an odd angle.

Looking at her face more closely, I could tell she was holding back tears. I went to ice level and took her aside to see how badly she was hurt. As it turned out, her wrist was broken.

Canadian kids! :)
