Very glad to see Friesen in that 3rd line Center position, was worried he might not get an opportunity what with all the depth. Also glad to hear that Mallet was the most noticeable player, although I wish Shaver would have responded to me when I tweeted him asking just that (who was the most noticeable) right after the game.

I've never fully understood the AHL's veteran rule. From what I understand each AHL team is allowed to have 6 veterans. 5 out of those six must have between 260 to 320 professional games with 1 out of the 6 having greater than 320 professional games.

With that said, who do you think the Wolves' veterans will be?

My list: Haydar, Ebbett, Joslin, Sterling, Desbiens, Gordon

This leaves out: Matheson

Huh, not as hard as I thought. Any corrections?

Ok well in the same veteran rule it also states 12 out of 18 skaters must be "development players", goaltenders do not count against the veteran rule.

So "development" players, which I think at this point are locks for the team:

Forwards:

Sweatt, Schroeder,Rodin, Kassian, Mallet, T. Miller, Friesen

Defense:

Connauton, Tanev, Sauve, Mullen, Polasek,

Assuming that Pinizzotto is now listed as a veteran, I would have to think he replaces Desbiens.

Roster (combined veterans/developments with no extras):

Haydar - Ebbett - Kassian

Miller - Schroeder -Sterling

Rodin - Friesen - Pinizzotto

Gordon - Mallet - Sweatt

Connauton - Tanev

Joslin - Mullen

Sauve - Polasek
