pinnizotto is not a vet (only 210 games) and only one of ebbett and hadar can dress at a time (both over 320 games played in pro leagues)

Ya we posted at the same time, I hadn't read that yet. Take your shot at it, fill a roster with 6 vets and 12 dev players, quickest way to predict Wolves roster.

You got beat avalanch.

I guess its safe to assume that Sterling/Haydar are 13th/14th forwards.

So - the remainder are likely ECHL bound.

Battle for 7th D is on.

No surprises here. Lol everyone was hyping Emmerson for his size, too bad he can't skate. Down to 38.

haydar, the captain, will dress before sterling or ebbett

it sucks, because sterling and haydar worked so good together when the wolves won the cup in 08

Well we agree on defense, but I don't know if I'd put Desbiens or Pinizzotto that high. You think Archibald makes it?

True - there HAS to be a change to the rule for the lockout; as it's highly doubtful that Ebbett and Sterling would be sitting every game.

yeah, with the lockout there has to be a special provision for that.

As I don't think the canucks would be happy paying Ebbett $300,000 to sit in the press-box in Chicago.

oh i found it:
veteran players of the AHL, with 2 way contract, are going to have the right to play for their farm team.
They won't have to be put on re-entry waivers if they are call back 3 days before the start of the season.
http://www.lighthous...rt-sound-tigers

so anyone with a 2 way with the nucks can play without being subject to the veteran rule

With the release of LoVerde, Maggio, and McCready this leaves the defense at 12.

Andersson, Blain, Connauton, Hunt, Joslin, Matheson, Miskovic, Mullen, Negrin, Polasek, Sauve, Tanev

:) this changes things. Canucks contracts currently in Wolves camp:

Forwards:
Sweatt, Anthony, S. Schneider, Schroeder, Friesen, Rai, Kassian, Mallet, Rodin, Archibald, Pinizzotto, Desbiens, Gordon, Tochkin, Ebbett

Defense:
Tanev, Connauton, Sauve, Andersson, Joslin, Polasek, Mullen,

Goalies:
Lack, Cannata (Climie and Corbeil on contract with Wolves)

What's max roster for AHL?

no limit that i know of, but you can only dress so many players, so a lot get sent down until they are needed.

I know he will probably end up back in the ECHL but I'd love to see Rai stick with the Wolves and prove people wrong.

Lineup for tonight:

Sterling - Schroeder - Gordon
Rodin - Ebbett - Kassian
Archibald - Friesen - Pinizzotto
Anthony - Longpre - Desbiens

Sauve - Tanev
Joslin - Mullen
Polasek Andersson

Lack
Climie

That's a good looking lineup. Getting closer to what the opening night roster will look like. No Sweatt, Mallet, or Connauton tonight unfortunately.

Goals:

Hard to find out the assists from the tweets - and I can't locate a box-score.
