C-2
To Toronto: Luongo, Higgins, Schroder, and a 2013 5th round pick To Vancouver: McArthur, Kulemin, Bozak and rights to Franson, 2013 3rd and 2014 3rd round picks Luongo = McArthur, Bozak, and Franson Higgins = Kulemin + 3rd round pick Schorder + 5th = 3rd (In a deep draft) Vancouver: Get a winger in McArthur who can pass the puck to Booth and Kesler but with slightly more offensive upside than Higgins. Kulemin to put a big body on the 3rd line LW and has the ability to move to the second line if needed. Bozak to center the 3rd line and Franson to balance out the deal. Toronto: They get an elite level goalie whose not really that bad contract can be buried in the minors/traded within 7 years. Higgins can easily replace Kulemin on the 2nd line with Grabovski and is more defensive orientated and will help the dismal TOR PK. Schroder to the minors and has a better chance to play eventually in TOR regularly than in VAN. CAPGEEK.COM USER GENERATED ROSTER VAN - TOR FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Clarke MacArthur ($3.250m) Nikolai Kulemin ($2.800m) / Tyler Bozak ($1.500m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Aaron Volpatti ($0.600m) / Maxim Lapierre ($1.000m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Andrew Ebbett ($0.600m) / DEFENSEMEN Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) / Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) Alexander Edler ($3.250m) / Jason Garrison ($4.600m) Keith Ballard ($4.200m) / Chris Tanev ($0.900m) Cody Franson ($0.840m) / GOALTENDERS Cory Schneider ($4.000m) Dan Ellis ($1.500m) BUYOUTS Manny Malhotra ($0.833m) Flame away ladies

Ossi Vaananen
We're on the cusp of a championship with a deep and gelled team, and you want to trade for players from Toronto? All Toronto players know to do is lose/choke. I wouldn't touch their regulars.
kanucks1
How? Schroeder is a first round draft pick and your trading him for a third?? nd84
Man I don't even think Schorder (Schroeder) is going to amount to much, and that is still an awful value comparison.
SkeeterHansen
I liked the proposal, until you said "flame away ladies". Now, I class you with kanucks1 and theres_a_can_in_canucks. ALSO: Kulemin is way overpaid and scored only 7 goals last year...and I'm pretty sure he split time between the 1st and 2nd lines...that's Gomez-esque. Higgins was arguably our best player (beyond the Sedins) last season, and we got him for peanuts so why would we trade him? Schroeder is up and coming, people are projecting him as a 2nd line centre should Kesler not be ready. (Granted the season starts on time.) Bozak and McArthur are both highly over rated and not worth Luongo. Franson is the only thing worthy in this trade.
nuckfanfromafrica
We are in a market that truly undervalues his worth. Yes he has under performed at key times, so has the whole team. He is an elite tender and will fetch a top prospect or two, a roster player or two, couple of high picks. Glad Gillis understands his value & is not giving him away. A trade with TO will look more like To Van: Jake Gardiner, Mikhail Grabovski, Mike Komisarek, 1st 2013, 2nd 2013 or 1st 2014 To Tor: Luongo, Ballard Van adds a puck moving dman, a right handed physical stay at home dman, and a speedy skilled center. We reached the stanley cup finals because of skill & speed. Van roster Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin - Zack Kassian (skill, size & grit) Mason Raymond - Ryan Kesler - Alex Burrows ( speed, skill, checking, grit) David Booth - Mikhail Grabovski - Hansen (speed, skill, checking, grit) Higgins - Manny - Lappy (checking, grit, speed) Andrew Ebbet/ Bitz Alex Edler - Garrison (similar to the Edler- guy in Buffalo paring but with more defensive awareness & grit) Hamhius - Bieksa (puck mover & defensive dman) Jake Gardiner - Komisarek (puck mover & physical dman) Alberts - Tanev Schnieder Veteran Tender (insert) roster is under the cap as per capgeek.com
