Blömqvist
I think so. It does say you get 7 guaraunteed 80+ overall players but we all know that it will more than likely be 7 80 overall AHL/European scrubs. EDIT: First pack I open I pull Kessel and Pominville Then I get trash in the next pack. Now I've been waiting for the third pack to open for about 5 minutes now... Double Edit: Out of the last two packs I opened, I pulled Max Pacioretty, TOTW Cory Schneider, and Dan Boyle. Successful pack opening day I must say. Here's my updated line up Lucic - Crosby - Kessel Carter - Richards - Gretzky Pacioretty - Backes - Pominville Horton - Dubinsky - Callahan Edler - Doughty Letang - Seabrook Hamhuis - Boyle Schneider Smith
Pears
NICE! That's a sick lineup too! I think I have a small Future Shop gift card lying around somewhere. I'll buy some MS points and hopefully I'll get something good.
Pears
Finished my 2nd year with the Canucks and somehow wound up with a top 5 pick with this roster Stamkos - Sedin - Sedin Burrows - Kesler - Kassian Huberdeau - Malhotra - Gaunce Koprikoski - Lapierre - Hansen Hamhuis - Bieksa Ballard - Garrison MA Bergeron - Tanev Schneider Thomas Ballard jumped from an 83 overall top six D man to an 86 overall top 4 D man. EDIT: Anyone have any tips on how to get Henrik to lower his asking price for a new contract?
UMB
This royally sucks. I had to let Henrik go because I barely had any cap space and had to trade Daniel (got a decent return for him of Faksa, Oleksiak and 1st) because I had to re-sign Gaunce (who Montreal signed to a $7.5 mill a year offer sheet, which also pissed me off because I had no choice but to match it) and Kassian. Good thing I managed to get them both back. Here's my line up for 2014-2015: Burrows - Stamkos - Kassian Gaunce - Kesler - Huberdeau (Hubs is only 71 overall for reasons I don't know) Korpikoski - Lapierre - Hansen (I like the sound of this third line) Sweatt - Malhotra - Mallet Hamhuis - Bieksa Ballard - Garrison MA Bergeron - Tanev Schneider Harding
Pears
Really? Huberdeau only 71? He usually jumps right up to 85 within a season if you play him top six. i've seen it happen to others as well.
UMB
Yea I was gonna try and pick him up from Florida, but when I saw that his trade value was really low I offered Rodin, a 2nd and a 3rd for him and it went through. Definetly gonna have to edit his attributes since he's only 3 gold stars.

Hamhuis2
I know some players had lower (and messed up) potential when the game came out. Huberdeau only had 3 yellow stars. After the first roster update, many players were fixed (Huberdeau got his much deserved 4.5 yellow stars). It could be that the rosters you selected for your GM mode are not up to date. UMB
2014 Draft Overview Round/Overall 1/1: Sam Reinhart (4.5 Gold) 1/2: Aaron Ekblad (4.5 Gold) 1/17: Ruslan Perezhogin (3.5 Gold) Because it was a much weaker draft, I traded away most of my picks and got picks for next year Made lots of offseason moves, including signing Phil Kessel who still has potential (4.5 Gold) and traded for Adam Laarson, 21 years old and already 85 overall with still 4.5 Gold Stars. I think my team is getting closer and closer to becoming unstoppable. Your 2014-15 Columbus Blue Jackets: Sven Baertschi [83] - Mikael Granlund [78] - Phil Kessel [88] Emerson Etem [74] - Alex Galchenyuk [68] - Nail Yakupov [82] Sam Reinhart [66] - Hunter Shinkaruk [64] - Tyler Toffoli [73] Anthony Duclair [55] - Radek Faksa [65] - Joel Armia [65] Dougie Hamilton [87] - Ryan Pulock [87] Jack Johnson [86] - Adam Laarson [85] Ryan Murray [83] - Morgan Reilly [77] Jack Campbell [76] Malcolm Subban [63] Springfield Falcons Notables Forwards Cole Hawes [75] (3.5 Gold) Joakim Nordstrom [67] (3.5 Gold) John Westin [65] (3.5 Red) Jusso Ikonen [61] (3.5 Gold) Ruslan Perezhogin [61] (3.5 Gold) Teuvo Teravainen [61] (3.5 Gold) Matia Marcantuoni [56] (3.5 Gold) Charles Hudon [58] (4 Red) Branden Troock [58] (3.5 Gold) Coda Gordon [56] (3.5 Gold) Defensemen Griffin Reinhart [63] (4.5 Gold) Arturri Lehkonen [54] (3.5 Gold) Ryan Culkin [56] (3.5 Gold) Goaltenders Patrick Kileen [73] (3.5 Red) Brandon Whitney [60] (3.5 Gold) Notable Players sent back to Juniors Aaron Ekblad [74] (4.5 Gold Stars) Last season I went 20-56-6 and with the new player progressions now I expect at least 30 wins...most of my high end prospects jumped up 5-7 overalls, some even 10+. Pulock jumped up 12, Hamilton, Murray and Reilly all jumped up 8. Granlund jumped up 6, Yakupov 8, and Hawes 9. Look forward to seeing what's next! Ryan Murray won the Bill Masterton award for the second year in a row. Good job!

Blömqvist
^ No to season ticket packs, and no to Duncan Keith. Any suggestions to improve my team? I've hit a slump and have lost 5-6 games in a row. My 2nd line filled team isn't working anymore against the legend and all-star filled teams. Also, I've yet to buy that holiday pack. Hopefully, when I do, I'll get some top quality players. A. Kostitsyn ~ Legwand ~ Hornqvist © Berglund ~ Weiss ~ Voracek Fisher ~ Bolland ~ Erat Korpikoski ~ Leino ~ Stalberg extras: Malone, Purcell Goligoski ~ Girardi Vlasic ~ Hedman Schultz ~ Pitkanen extras: Franson, Ohlund, Tallinder Pavelec
UMB
2015 Draft Overview Round/Overall 1/1: F Yves Brodeur (4.5 Gold) 1/2: D Pavel Markov (4.5 Gold) 1/5: G Tristan Jarry (4.5 Gold) Draft was a success for me as I picked up a 4.5 Gold Potential player at each position. Made lots of offseason moves again, it was the year where I had to re-sign most of my studs. Signed most of them for pretty cheap though. Signed Baertschi [86] for 4 years at 6.25, while re-signing Yakupov [85] 6 years for 5.5M. Got my one two punch for at least 4 years for only 12M. Granlund [81] signed 2 years for 2.1 and Toffoli [76] signed for 3 years at 1.5M. Galchenyuk [70] signed 3 more years for 640k, Etem [76] signed 2 years for 780k. Nordstrom [71] signed two years for 570k. Armia, Teravainen and Faksa all signed for three years below 600k. Me gusta. On defense I signed Dougie Hamilton [85] and Ryan Murray [85] to identical 6 year contracts for 4M. It's a steal in my opinion as both are a season away from being top 2 D and I get to keep them for 6 YEARS at just 4M each. 8M dollars spent on two top 2 D, that's pretty good as most top 2 D are 8M alone now. Morgan Reilly [83] signed a 3.725 extension for the next 8 years, I see him becoming a top 2 defenseman in the next 2 years, and I get to keep his 3.725 cap for the next 8. I have to re-sign Ryan Pulock [89] next offseason though and the way he's been growing I'm not looking forward to it. Griffin Reinhart [67] also re-signed 3 years for 550k. In net I re-signed Jack Campbell [79] 8 years for 1.75M. I see him becoming an elite goaltender in three or four seasons, allowing me to get an elite goaltender for about four years for just 1.75M. And Malcolm Subban [67] signed a 570k extension for three years. In Free Agency I signed Patrick Kane [88] who still has 4.5 Gold Potential to a 7.5 x 6 contract, while adding Brendan Gaunce [66] (4 Gold Stars) Not too bad. My team is starting to get amazing. Your 2015-16 Columbus Blue Jackets: Sven Baertschi [86] - Phil Kessel [88] - Patrick Kane [88] Nail Yakupov [85] - Mikael Granlund [81] - Cole Hawes [82] Emerson Etem [76] - Sam Reinhart [75] - Tyler Toffoli [76] Alex Galchenyuk [70] - Joakim Nordstrom [71] - Yves Brodeur [75] Jack Johnson [86] - Ryan Pulock [89] Ryan Murray [85] - Dougie Hamilton [85] Morgan Reilly [83] - Adam Larsson [85] Jack Campbell [79] Malcolm Subban [67] Because Dougie Hamilton actually dropped two overalls while playing with Ryan Pulock, I've reunited Hamilton with Ryan Murray, the guy he had on his pairing when he had his 50 point season and massive 12 overall jump. Springfield Falcons Notables Forwards Hunter Shinkaruk [67] (4.5 Gold) Radek Faksa [68] (4.5 Gold) Joel Armia [69] (4 Gold) John Westin [69] (3.5 Red) Brendan Gaunce [66] (4 Gold) Jusso Ikonen [65] (3.5 Gold) Ruslan Perezhogin [65] (3.5 Gold) Teuvo Teravainen [64] (3.5 Gold) Branden Troock [63] (3.5 Gold) Anthony Duclair [58] (4 Gold) Defensemen Griffin Reinhart [67] (4.5 Gold) Pavel Markov [63] (4.5 Gold) Ryan Culkin [61] (3.5 Gold) Goaltenders Tristan Jarry [65] (4.5 Gold) Patrick Killeen [82] (3.5 Red) Notable Players sent back to Juniors Aaron Ekblad [84] (4.5 Gold Stars) Last season I went 33-40-9 and with the offseason moves as well as draft and progressions I now expect at least 40 wins. susraiders
Are the new players like Jones and McDavid rated fairly? I haven't played in a month or two and I was wondering if adding these players brings any life to the game? Is there an official list of players added?
