J529
"On a related note, it was said that The Rock was not happy at the Rumble. Rock was presumably upset over the Bryan elimination and the reaction but that hasn't been confirmed yet." Rock couldn't give 2 shakes about Bryan's elimination, he was pissed the fans were booing his cousin. Rock and Cena both got booed at WM when Rock raised Cena's arm after the match. J529
WWE is no longer branding WM with numbers. More evidence of Vince being so out of touch. WWE is reportedly no longer branding WrestleMania with numbers, at least with the logo. Instead, symbols are being used to distinguish each event. It was announced last week that WrestleMania will come to AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 3, 2016 and "32" is nowhere to be seen on the logo. It instead features a star to represent the "Lone Star State." On top of that, the logo for this year's WrestleMania features a "Play" button. to represent Silicon Valley, which is near Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, California. This is according to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, who said on Wrestling Observer Radio today that the events are no longer being branded with numbers "because Vince [McMahon] thinks it makes it sound too old." iinatcc
A certain someone might not agree with this but it has always been about the looks, and it will never change (even once Vince is gone), because when you look at these big guys, kids see a guy you can look up to. Why do you think Cena is shoved down our faces? I'll be the first to admit I'm not the biggest Cena fan, only cause his matches are so damn predictable/boring, and he never puts over talent, but despite that he, is a great role model for kids. The only way Vince f'ked this up, if Reigns turns into another Cena, but until then, I say give Reigns the chance to see what he can do with the title. . See that's the problem I have with the WWE. Reigns is unproven and hasn't done anything to indicate he's ready to carry the company yet they do this to give him the torch to carry the company? I can make many analogies but since this is The Canucks forum that would be like putting Bo Horvat in the main roster this season and making him the #1 Center and team captain. WilliesStache14
It's always been about big guys for WWE and for years it always worked (Hulk Hogan, the Rock, Stone Cold etc etc.) But they're fracking it up and have been for the past few years because they are pushing these big guys WAY too early and ruining them, Ryback was a perfect example of that he was over as hell and they completely killed his momentum and then fed him to Cena. They're doing it with Reigns now too, way too early for a push this big.
Junkyard Dog
Nothing against Reigns at all but I don't think he is ready for the bigs(being the spotlight). He has the look, the background and the size to be big but he has no charisma in promos whatsoever and that's huge if you want to make the next step. Wrestling skill aren't that great but they aren't bad either.I do believe he has that potential but he is being rushed into this kind of main event IMO. I think fans wanted a David vs Goliath main event which could of been huge. Also fans want more deserving superstars who, unlike Reigns, paved their own way into the business without having the pedigree of coming from a wrestling background.Fans want superstars like Ambrose and Ziggler to get pushed due to being better overall performers. I would add Rollins but he is kind of being pushed already. Bryan still WWE's biggest face since he wasn't able to burn out his popularity post WM30 due to injuries. I mean WWE's biggest superstar goes out for months during the peak of his popularity. That makes it understandable that the same hype has resurfaced now. His fans clearly missed him.It would be A LOT MORE better if another superstar was added to the main event at WM to make it a triple threat. It should be done IMO because the the build up wouldn't be solely focused on Reigns. Reigns would benefit from it as much as well as whoever was added. That triple threat at the Rumble was arguably the best match on Sunday and I don't think Reigns and Lesnar will put up a great match one on one. Also increases the odds of Lesnar losing the title while still looking somewhat unstoppable. I would prefer another guy who has deserved a push added instead of Bryan due to the fact that Bryan could be used in another huge match. Picture this... Ambrose-Lesnar-Reigns... No DQ, no count-outs since triple threat rules with Rollins lurking around. Now that's a main event I would look forward to.That's just my opinion though. swflyers28
It looks like it will be Bryan vs. Ziggler for WM31. We noted before that Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan was in the works for WrestleMania 31 this year but apparently WWE has changed their mind. The recent Twitter interactions between Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler are not just social media as WWE is currently going with Bryan vs. Ziggler for WrestleMania.Another battle royal also is expected for WrestleMania this year. No word yet on if it will be another Andre the Giant Battle Royal but there was talk at one point of making it a ymatch. http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/WWE_Reportedly_Makes_Big_Change_to_WrestleMania_31_Plans_for_Daniel_Bryan_Battle_Royal_News.html

westsideconnect
This Roman Reigns situation is really pretty simple when you think about it. If you look at a lot of the guys who have truly gotten over in the last 20 years, it was all because the fans helped them get there on their own, without the WWF/E forcing them to like them. Austin, The Rock, Daniel Bryan - all earned the respect of the fans with their abilities and characters. Austin and The Rock turned themselves face to the point where the WWF had to accept it. Daniel Bryan had their respect, and fans marked out even more for him due to the fact that THEY were the ones who forced the WWE to put him into the main event of Wrestlemania. Even if you look at Cena, he was a heel with the rapper gimmick and slowly it was the fans who couldn't help but cheer for the guy. It was only when WWE took it to far and forced him on the fans as the ultimate babyface that they decided they were sick of him. They were sick of him because he wasn't their chosen star anymore, he was the WWE's. Fans reject Reigns because he's not their choice, he's the WWE's, and if the WWE dares to tell the fans who is going to be the main guy they need to cheer for they will absolutely crap on that guy. I often think though, the WWE somewhat knows what they're doing. Fact is, all of these fans who are outraged that somebody like Daniel Bryan or Dean Ambrose didn't win ... why should the WWE concern themselves with these people that much? Let's face it, these are typically the fans known as "smarks" who are going to watch no matter what the WWE does. They may say they'll stop watching, but don't kid yourselves. They want to get new fans, so if the Daniel Bryan/Dolph Ziggler/Dean Ambrose fans are going to be there no matter what, they can push somebody these people don't care for in hopes of getting new fans that do. BTW, I highly recommend the youtube channel "goodmicwork". This guy gets it. He's a long time fan who isn't a complete idiot and while he swears a lot, he puts together long commentaries with logical thoughts. http://www.youtube.com/user/goodmicwork

CaNuCkSLoUiE23
Man, that match Reigns just had with Big show really exposed his lack of wrestling ability. He has nothing in his arsenal except for slams. Cena 2.0.
