Tease for future Rock vs. Lesnar on Raw when Lesnar was at WWE Headquarters

Speaking of Lesnar's visit to WWE HQ, when he stopped and stared at a Royal Rumble poster of The Rock hanging on the wall, that was meant to be a subtle tease for a future match between the two.

Backstage News on CM Punk's Status and Return

As reported earlier, CM Punk was added to several listings throughout the summer for upcoming WWE events and then removed. According to a report by PWInsider, Punk was never supposed to be advertised in the first place. Punk's name was added in error, partially because he was originally slated for those dates before he injured his knees in his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. As of this writing, there is no timetable set for Punk's return to WWE television and many believe that Punk might not return until late summer, at the earliest. As far as WWE and CM Punk goes, there is believed to be very little communication between both parties since the angle where he walked out. There has been no discussion about his return storyline either.

Stone Cold's current relationship with WWE isn't very good.

WWE sure is pissing top names recently. Rock, Punk, Stone Cold.

According to a high level source within WWE, Steve Austin's current relationship with WWE is worse than it has been in many years.

The falling out took place earlier this year, when WWE tried several times to have Austin appear on RAW in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 29. Austin turned down every single request - which made Vince McMahon furious. Austin even turned down a suggestion that would have lead to a huge push by the USA Network to promote Austin's appearance as well as some of his outside projects.

The rift between Austin and WWE has been kept very hush hush, but it does not bode well for the possibility of Austin wrestling "one more match" at next year's WrestleMania.

WWE is reporting that Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion during the Smackdown taping on Tuesday after he interfered in the Jack Swagger/Big E. Langston match. The report quotes WWE physician Michael Sampson, who said Ziggler suffered the concusion early in the altercation, as saying, "He [was] having some memory difficulties and a bit of a headache … he definitely has a concussion. We're checking him out, and going to be doing neuropsychological testing and just keep it monitored."

The report notes that the concussion has been clinically confirmed and that the results of their testing will given them a bassline with which to monitor Ziggler. Dolph was scheduled to face Swagger and Alberto Del Rio in a Ladder Match at Extreme Rules in eleven days; no word on whether that will change or not.

News on direction of Sheamus' Character

Despite the lack of interest by the live audience, WWE plans to keep Sheamus as a babyface. Vince McMahon wants him to remain a face, and the company is tweaking his character according to a report by Raj Giri. The belief is that once they find the right fit for him, Sheamus' character should take off as a top face. There are some within the company that disagree.
