- Reports from tonight's RAW are that Vince McMahon has not been in a good mood today. This led to head RAW writer Brian Gewirtz being removed from his job after more than 10 years. Gewirtz is still working as a consultant.

Vince reportedly told the producers he wants results or resignations. Everyone is said to be scared for their jobs. We hope to have more soon.

Goddamn. I hope that means real changes, which would be good, rather than a position of desperate pandering, which would be bad. If it means Vince taking more control, that'd be the worst.

sounds like a dirtsheet report. nothing more. can't blame the writers because, guess what? they have nothing to work with. wrestling isn't meant for little children. their audience has always been teens - adults, not kids

- WWE Champion CM Punk attacked a fan at the conclusion of Monday’s WWE RAW. It’s unknown at this time what prompted Punk to strike a male fan in the face twice, but Vince McMahon appeared to be in shock at the exchange.

Wonder if this was a "fan plant" by WWE? This could get interesting...

i wouldn't be surprised with all of the interviews cm punk has done where he states he doesn't like having fans come up to him for autographs and all. could be a tactic to get some heat on him

could be. Could also be a slippery slope with Linda's campaign. Would be an easy thing for them to jump all over.

anything that hurts linda's campaign i'm all for. get em cm punk

Couldn't agree more. I read earlier that she is up by 3 points. She needs to lose so WWE can go back to whats entertaining. This PG crap is killing it. Recent ratings an attendance #'s speak for themselves. Who knows, maybe this is Vince's way of back stabbing his wifes campaign to try to kill her chances?

Disagree. I wasnt born at the time but any hardcore fan will tell you 70's and 80's wrestling was clutch and much of it did not not involve 14+. In fact, this adult wrestling if we will only significantly rose during the 1990s with the attitude era. The only noteable exception to this was ECW.

PG wrestling can be great if you build story lines. The problem is creative blows. They are all a bunch of yes men to Vinny and many of them are former soap opera writers (not lying when I say this). All of that leads to the crap we see today. If anything, Vince should fire himself.

I have made this point before and will make it again. The WWE is so ratings driven its ridiculous. The fact they overreacted to a 2.5 during Monday Night Football season on a night Cena was out is absurd. All they worry about is about ratings every week and that is what they judge to see if guys get over. The problem is guys wont get over unless you give them super pushes and if the guy is a good worker and semi decent on mic they gotta keep going with him. Yet they do not. Once the ratings slip the guys push falls.

It took the likes of Stone Cold and Triple H 2 years or more to fully get over when they were given pushes and look at how they cemented themselves. I am not saying you have to be that patient with every guy but with certain guy it doesn't hurt. Hell even Cena wasn't like when he started off. It took a while for him to get over and now he is the face of the company.

The problem is when you are so concerned about your ratings week to week you get a lot of crap. You fractionalize certain parts of your audience to please them because they are your highest demographic and you axe guys when there segments don't do well a couple of weeks.

CM Punk isn't doing it for me. He's not a good face and he's not an elite heel.

We all know that he isn't going to lose clean at HIAC, just waiting for someone else to run with the belt.

Curious as to how much the ratings would suck without Cena for more than a month

If he's going to drop the belt now it won't be until one of the major PPV's. And given how The Rock is due for his title shot at the Royal Rumble, that's my pick for the day he drops the belt.

It apparently means a whole lot of pandering. That was a seriously horrible show. Has to be one of the worst Raws in a while, which is I feel saying something with all the crap they put out there.

I fast forwarded through a lot of it, and what I didn't, I wasn't into at all. I'm still liking Punk, but now they've taken the opportunity to just put Ryback over. I mean Punks not really going to suffer by it, but really, Ryback?

The main card just keeps looking worse. And it has a lot to do with how they simply handle their talent.

Looks like Punk and the WWE are going to be in some serious crap right now. Oh well, WWE sucks regardless.

LOL! The fan was not knocked out, he doesn't even have a mark on him. From what I've read though this guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Another fan had hit Punk in the kidneys and then pushed him also. Punk went after the wrong guy.

TMZ has now picked up the story so it will be interesting to see how far it goes. Here's an interview with the fan:

Twitter account of the fan that punched CM Punk in the kidney's and egged him on, resulting in Punk hitting the innocent fan.

Seems like this guy was looking for a payday and is hoping the fan gets a payday.

Apparently WWE has apologized for having a security issue (or lack of security in the stands) to ensure this didn't happen. Doesn't mean Punk was right for what he did, but he was a sitting duck in that situation. Even faces like Cena get a security escort when they go up into the stands alone.

Shark Tank' Winner WWE Star Made My Son Cry DEMANDS APOLOGY

100812-sharktank-launch-1.jpg

A mother will do anything to protect her kid -- just ask former "Shark Tank" winner Shelly Ehler ... who's picking a fight with a 6'5", 239-pound WWE star after he made her 8-year-old cry.

Ehler -- who scored a $75k investment on "Tank" for her ShowNo towels -- has a serious beef with Alberto Del Rio ... who snatched her son's handmade sign during a WWE event in Anaheim, CA this weekend ... and RIPPED IT UP (or at least tried to).

In the video (above) Del Rio isn't quite strong enough to rip the sign in half (it is cardboard) ... so he takes off small, pathetic, chunks instead.

FYI -- it's standard practice for the wrestlers to interact with audience members "in character." In this case, the sign was pro-Sheamus ... the wrestling arch-nemesis of Del Rio.

But TMZ spoke to Shelly, who says her 8-year-old was terrified by the wrestler's actions and instantly burst into tears. She adds, "Del Rio is a bully. I looked at him and said 'he's crying' ... and he mocked him."

Shelly -- who says her 8-year-old cried all the way home -- vented her frustrations to the wrestler on Twitter and then fired off an angry letter to the WWE.

In the letter she says, "Take signs from adults NOT KIDS! My son was bullied by your superstars and it is not okay."

Despite her demands, Shelly claims she's heard crickets from Del Rio -- but his manager tweeted her back and said, "lol blah blah blah."

FYI -- as soon as Shelly contacted Sheamus about the incident ... he immediately offered to send her son a signed photo and meet with him next time he's in town.

7:15 AM PT -- A rep for the WWE tells TMZ ...“While Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez were portraying their WWE characters, we sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding that may have occurred.”
