Will there be a draft if the whole season is locked out? Always wanted to know and I need an answer!

Yes.

I think you mean to ask will there be a draft if the whole season is locked out (because the lockout is already in effect).

But the answer is yes, there would be a draft. Every team gets odds based on how many first overall picks they have had and how many cups they won recently so technically every team could potentially get the 1st overall pick.

Where do you think we would end up?

Quite low, we would likely get 1 ball while teams like Toronto would get a whole bunch.

But there's still the (slim) chance we could get first overall.

There will be a draft yes. But likelyness of getting a first overall pick is low.

It's not just based on how many cups they've won but based on regular season succeess too which is why we won't get as good odds to get a top pick as saw Toronto.

The worst part of having a lottery like the '05 one is that, if I'm correct, Calgary would get the highest chance at first overall, along with Toronto and Columbus.
