Chicago is giving up too much.
Leddy is gonna be a top pair Offensive D, Hayes and McNeill will be checking line players at least, and Stalberg is already a decent top 6 winger.

Chicago is giving up a lot here compared to us especially. We could add in Yann Sauve to Chicago.

I like the proposal over all- I think it needs a bit of tinkering...

Canucks aren't giving up much, I'd add in a 3rd and fourth to get tips deal done, or a prospect like Yann Sauve- he'd be the most NHL ready prospect out of the group mentioned, except that his ceiling is lower than the other players involved. Adding in Alexandre Mallet would be interesting- still not sure why Gillis needed to draft him so high

Read is 4 years older and has pretty much hit his ceiling. Voracek is young, physical can score and will fit in to our top 6 nicely.

Agreed, Chicago doesn't get enough out of this deal. I added an edited one.

I dont see the point to involve Chicago and the Flyers in this deal.

Vancouver can keep Luongo for themselves, he was a big part of the success Vancouver had in the past 2 year. Why change this winning formula? Deep and Strength between the pipe is the way to go.

A cup winning team usually doesn't have two starting goaltenders. Right now I am comfortable with our roster, but two holes we have is that of a top six winger to play alongisde Kesler, and that of good, young, big players (McNeill and Hayes). So if we do keep Luongo I would be happy, but if he is dealt for pieces to improve the team, I'd be happy with that as well.

I actually really really like this deal, and trying to look at it objectively, I don't see why chi and phi would not strongly consider it. Each team fills multiple needs without getting weaker in one area. I like the exchange of picks that you added. In real life i think the weak link maybe be Chicago because it depends how badly they
want him. Luongo is the best player in the deal tho!
Well done

Why are you so adamant that the Canucks have to keep Luongo? He will be traded, its just a matter of when. Schneider will be our starter for the next 5-10 years as he won the starting job from Lu.

He is the same guy who proposed Price for Jensen, Lack and a second.

My uncle told me that a team is never strong enough between the pipe!

A team is never enough strong between the pipe!

Haha I know where you're coming from, but when a team has a hole in their line-up, why not address it? :) But you do make a good point.

Don't know Philly does this. They get one player in Leddy, are they that desperate for defenders ... maybe but I doubt it after losing Jagr and JVR.
