Red-Haired_Shanks
considering they will be free agents next year there value goes down unless they are signed or we get a conditional pick if they dont i would say he would get somthing like the rick nash deal but not as much since hes a FA 1 prospect, 2 roster players and a 1st Jensen/Tanev/Connauton, Higgins, Raymond, 1st for Perry. if he is resinged the price would be a lot steeper
Pears
Say Anaheim is out of a playoff spot (say 11th and 15 points behind the 8th seed) by the trade deadline and they want to get the rebuild started, would Booth, Tanev, Raymond and a 2nd be fair? Or would we have to add more?

da.moose
If you really want the Ducks to consider then a fair price would be: To Van: Corey Perry To Ana: Alexander Edler, Zack Kassian, 1st As a Canucks fan I wouldn't make this trade and I doubt the Ducks would be willing to pull the trigger and trade their former Hart Trophy winner; even for a solid package like this. Jordan Subban
Its simple really... all it would take is Mason Raymond, Keith Ballard and a 1st Round pick....
Pears
Kassian, Gaunce, Jensen, Lack, two 1st rounders
ConnorFutureGM
I think its a good thing you probably won't become a GM in the future. Like really, Kassian, Gaunce, Jensen, Lack AND two 1st rounders? Only Mike Milbury would be stupid enough to sell his team's 4 best prospects along with two firsts for a guy who could easily walk into free agency. Pears
The Canucks have no A level prospects. It would then a larger quantity of B level assets to get him. Perry would also demand a greater return than Kovalchuk which was Cormier, Bergfors, Oduya and a 1st.
ConnorFutureGM
Kovalchuk's value was far greater when he got traded than what Perry's is now, Atlanta just had a dumb*** of a GM. Again, no GM in this league is stupid enough to sell his four best prospect and two first rounders for a pending UFA who could very easily walk from the Canucks. FullMetalOilDrum
It would take at least Kesler.
James van Riemsdyk
I think a fair trade would be just kesler for perry straight up as they were both drafted in the same year and kesler was a couple picks above him. They also have very similar point totals. It's just what type of player you rather have, a winger or a center.
Dream Theater
Edler, Jensen, Raymond, Van's 2nd (2013) as a starting point. In other words, its not worth it. Why not just wait until his contract expires and attempt to sign him then?
Burnsey
You say he would be beast with the Sedins, Burrows and Kesler. Well unfortunately I don't really see a trade for him without give up one of those assets. Edler may be able to work a trade for him, but I like Edler and still think he has a lot to offer. I wouldn't want to trade him because he really does help pur D. Maybe if we had some good D prospects in our system I wouldn't mind it as much but as of now I think we could find another good top 6 without giving up an asset we have much use of - Like maybe trade Ballard, Raymond, etc. to get that top 6 guy?
