Anyone live in the Duncan Area? Floor Hockey

12 posts in this topic

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone live in the Duncan area. Every Sunday night me and a bunch of guys (10-15) play floor hockey at the gym inside the hockey rink it is a 5 dollar drop in and you should bring your own sticks. Normal Ice hockey sticks are fine that's what everyone else uses. If you don't have a stick there is a few guys who bring extras. We start around 8pm and end around 10pm. If anyone is interested let me know.

Yeah haha not tonight just finished a while ago But its pretty much like normal hockey aside from like checking, icing, and offsides, we play with some contact though but nothing big. Slap shots are allowed, no high sticking etc

Helmets? Gloves? Other equipment (shin, elbow, shoulder, chest)? Ball or puck? Blades or shoes?

I assume there are goalies.

I assume they're good balls and not the crappy $1 Canadian Tire specials, right?

We play at Quamichan school a lot in the summer at the outdoor hockey "rink" a lot. Obviously can't right now because it's going to rain for the next 6 months :P

Hahaha yeah they are good balls not those horrible orange road hockey ones from Canadian Tire.

Oh sweet some family friends live right down by there on Howard Ave. But I will toss you a PM on Saturday to remind you about floor hockey if you want
