goalie13
Who cares? It's a different league. It would be disrespectful if he went to play for Edmonton and asked for it to be un-retired. This is no big deal. I actually think it was fairly ridiculous that the NHL retired Gretzky's number for the whole league.
Kass9
Doesn't matter, not an issue. Personally though, I wouldn't wear as I consider it an unwritten rule.

WHL rocks
KHL is a different league. Who cares. NHL should not have retired 99. No one would wear it anyways and even if they wanted to no club would hand it out.
Kran
I bet someone has already shown Gretzky of photo of this, hoping to get some kind of reaction from him. And all Gretzky did is shrug his shoulders, and put his feet up. Or maybe Gretzky is actually furious, and is running around his house yelling "PREPOSTEROUS! HOW DARE HE!!". As much as I think the latter is hilarious, I'm pretty sure Gretzky couldn't care less

Squeak
Gretzky never played in the KHL - simple as that.

SkeeterHansen
Some Washington haters (and Edmonton fans) are going to pounce all over this, but for any real fan ( ) this is barely newsworthy.

UMB
Uh....I don't really give a sh*t. and I am against the retiring of Gretzky's #99 as well. saying he is the best player in history is purely opinion based. also nobody probably was ever gonna wear #99 anyway

c00kies
Vancouver still has #99 as playable, as we are still waiting for Gretzky to make his way from Edmonton.
