He is on pace for 26 points in 8 games. The league leader has 17.

Why wouldn't he be trying hard?

Obviously he's too good for this league. Not sure why he chose it. But if he's gonna play there, he's obviously gonna try.

"our tweet"

LOL

Is something funny? You seem intent on harassing me every time I discuss the Fake season. You truly are clueless if you aren't aware how much work is put into this project and how much everyone involved has invested in it. Both TheStanchion and I have put in our fair share of work into the audio, visuals, development, editing, planning, moderating, promoting, and information gathering involved in order to make this production possible. Your ignorance is really starting to piss me off.

Not to mention I control the @FakeCanucksLive twitter handle. Should I have said "my tweet?" That account represents the entire project. Grow up.

In terms of Dale Weise's production in his new, temporary league, good for him.

just think of the CDC reaction if Weise wasn't trying and instead of 13 in 4 he had 3 in 4.

Not to burst anyone's bubble but the Dutch/Belgium league allows a max. of 7 imports per team and most come from junior A/NCAA programs. One of my best buddies plays in it for something to do while he earns his Masters degree. He played Junior A and then went to play at RIT where Tanev played. He's a player/coach. Weise can play a role in the NHL, but don't get too excited. My buddy said he's acting like a donkey... playing in the wrong league and trying way too hard for what it is.

Sound like your buddy is pissed because Weise is in the NHL and he didnt make the cut.

This will solve a lot of issues, especially with Kesler hurt. Lineup will look like this:

No One - Weise - No One
Burrows - Sedin - Sedin
Booth - Higgins - Hansen
Raymond - Lapierre - Kassian

Wow, thanks for stepping up Weise, now we can definately keep Luongo and Schneider and beef up the defence!
  • 1

By the way learn how to spell SHIRIKOV who is this shirakov

Amazingly on his first shift Kassian would have had a breakaway if Kesler knew how to pass. And he still got switched with Weiss. And note it is "Weiss" not "Wise".

Ditch the "Canucks", we will now be known as the Vancouver Dale Weise'. He will wear goalie gear, but use a players stick so as to make saves and shoot. The rules will not allow him to cross the redline, thus he will simply shoot from behind center and treat opposing goalies like Cloutier. I think the parade should start in gastown and move through granville then down to BC place. Thoughts?

Please let's not start all of this Rory Fitzpatrick, Aaron Rome stuff again with Dale Weise. Geez I mean you know your hockey franchise is bad when we make such a big deal over players like that. Even if it's just in a joking manner.....don't do it lol.

But yeah I heard Byron Bitz is putting up 27 points in like 3 games of Peewee AAA hockey, ZOmG SuperstarZZZ Bitz 4 MvP!!

Thought it'd be worth mentioning that Weise now leads the league in scoring with 24 goals and 46 points in 18 games. http://www.nijb.nl/c...ID=1&CompID=570

Was also looking at his game sheets.. Racked up 30 penalty minutes a week ago for "abusing an official". Yikes. http://www.nijb.nl/n...hp?GameID=34018

What the hell are you talking about. We make a big deal out of Rome/Wellwood/Weise because they are the cream of the crop in the NHL. They are a big deal, they are big macs.

Breakout season! Weise is gonna continue his rampage when the season resumes and carry us on his back a la Kesler 2011 Cup Run style!!!

Sedin-Sedin-Weise
Booth-Kesler-Burrows
Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen
Volpatti-Malhotra-....Kassian?

Continuing his 2.556 PPG pace pro-rated to a shortened 48 game season we can expect numbers from him along the line of 123 points (63g-60a), just enough to break Hank's single season points record for the Canucks!

Plan the parade!! :towel: :frantic:

I know, I know... I want my hockey back...

Weise has legit potential. He had some great goals against playoff teams and was solid the whole year despite the worst possible zone starts. He was also very good in the playoffs during his brief stint. Very good 4th liner, maybe 3rd someday.

Definitely. Weise had .80 points per game in the AHL as a 22 year old. Not too Shabby. 28 goals as a 21 year old -- probably would of broke 30 had he not missed any games. I think the last Canucks prospects to have those kinds of numbers were Grabner and Kesler. Obviously Weise will not be as offensively gifted as they are at the NHL level but he should still be an effective player now and down the road. Just give him more time to develop and legitimate minutes during the game.

I love that the stall two to the left of his says "For Rent"

...and that the stall on the far right of the picture appears to be of a player of Turkish extraction!!

Dale is well on his way to becoming the next Wayne Van Dorp!

You sure Weise isn't playing in some Dutch Beer league?

Cause that is ridiculous numbers for a fourth liner, but then again MG did say that Weise was more than just a fist a cuff player and actually had some hockey sense. Hope this lockout is opening to his hockey soul.

why can he not end up putting up points like Kesler or grabner.
just because he gets mostly 4th line minutes does not make him a 4th liner for life.

Didn't Hodgson saying something about Weise having pretty good hockey sense in an interview and something about Weise giving him pointers on a shootout goal he ended up scoring?

Also anybody could put up decent numbers if they train hard enough and play hard enough.

Seems doubtful. I don't think he was ever projected to be an offensive guy to begin with and those projections tend to hold true

To be fair, we've seen flashes of brilliance that he's failed to finish on before from Weise. I'd like to think he could be Mason Raymond 2.0 given the chance.

Burrows only had 9 points in his 1st full NHL season at 25 years of age.
People probably thought he was a 4th liner/AHL'er for the rest of his career.

Weise is developing into a monster as we speak. :bigblush:
