Burrows_Breath
So i got into a car accident today. Someone hit me and damages are around $1500 to fix. He was 100% at fault and says not to report to ICBC which he will pay for the damages to fix my car. What should i do? Report to ICBC or get him to fix it?? Denguin
As others have said, if he is willing to shell out the money to fix it 110%, then just avoid ICBC. Unless he wants you to take your car in to some sketchy chop-shop or tries to cheat you, then you can get a third-party involved.
Shift-4
This happened once to me and it worked out but it was because the guy was driving a company vehicle.

nucklehead
You need to be examined for soft tissue injuries. These are tricky things and can come back to bite you bad. I know from lots of experience. I strongly suggest reporting this accident for your own protection.
Kamero89
Report it. If he is willing to pay, I am guessing he was not insured, or he has been in a lot of accidents. REPORT IT. If he is uninsured, he needs to be taken off the road.
elvis15
Report it, you can still tell ICBC you will be handling it outside of insurance. If he renegs for any reason then you at least have it on record.
EX_Bert_Worshipper
Oooh - my first instinct was to report it. I agree with the injury line. If you have any pain whatsoever, report it, as you will be totally screwed in the long run if you don't. Depends, I guess, on the damage and how you are feeling. If it's minor damage and you are fine, then settle out of ICBC, but if you have more major damage or are in any way hurt, report it to protect yourself. Good luck! Hugemanskost
Why bother buying insurance if you're not going to report accidents you are involved in? That's a big part of what it's for. Always report accidents. It's kind of like puckers who drive drunk... They need to be reported as do poor drivers. There's a chance this person may injure, maim or kill someone next time.
