WHL rocks
Depends who you ask. For the players Linden is definitely a hero. Just take a look at their salary increase since 2005.
Shoot the Puck!!!!
Anyone who mentions Trevor Linden and villain in the same phrase without the words "Mark Messier" needs to burn at the stake
dorrcoq
Last go around, the players were the good guys, this time they are being greedy!
Aladeen
Um the Players got a great deal last lockout much thanks to Trevor. Think about how the players would love to still be playing under the old CBA and I am sure would love it if it never changed. A lot of players were mad at Trevor thinking they could have gotten more, in particular no Salary Cap, those players were also the same players saying they could start their own league and to not listen to NHL proposals anymore. Hockey would not be where it is today without the negotiations Trevor made. Many many players are extremely rich because of what he did get for players during that lockout albeit at the price of a hard salary cap (which was inevitable anyways and was something the NHL would not budge on). Snake Doctor
I truly believe Trevor was a hero. Imagine what people would think of you on this board if I said villian.
