Seems like fluff for the most part. Does this mean the rumours are true, he's in Vancouver?

What a groundbreaking interview. I'm sure glad I listened to that one...

So the only thing I got from that is that it sounds like he'd be okay playing in Toronto. Which I already pretty much assumed.

Dont take his quote out of context by trying to emphasize a word that he did not, its douchey and even more low life than the current Vancouver media.

And to the other guy, if you listened to the interview like you suggested you did you should have been able to gather that he was currently in Florida based on the questions and answers.

i'm glad he's willing to play for us. I wouldn't mind having him back. Despite some weak playoff performances, I still think he's one of the best on the planet.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

While I would like him, having 9.3 million in goalie salaries is no way to win the cup.

This is not a reply to your message, but nice pic. Haha Hopefully it sticks, it would be funny yet strangely satisfying when he's blasting in shots from the point resulting in goals if he's mentioned as the nickname Mr. Garrison. ::D

True that, we made him look bad when he's a great goalie. We owe it to him to give him the best chance at winning the cup on a good team, depending on how we handle and finish the whole Lu situation... I will be judging the management accordingly. If they handle it like crap and he leaves unsatisfied, I'll lose all the respect I had for MG.

Is it just me or has Roberto Luongo actually gained more popularity during this whole situation? The guy has handled it very well and seems to have come out of his shell a bit if you pay attention to his Twitter. His interview for the fake season was hilarious, and you can tell the genuine personality that cares about this city and his team mates. I like Lou more now than I ever have. I was all for moving on, but I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him back for awhile and holding out for the best deal possible, instead of rushing a bad deal just for the sake of getting it done. I get the impression it's not an issue in the lockeroom so really its the fans and media that would make it a distraction, which at the end of the day shouldn't matter.

I wonder if any Luongo haters out there have had a bit of change of heart towards the guy?

Luongo is the best goalie we have ever had, I hope he stays here for as long as possible. The fact that he would waive his contract because of whatever reason, if it's for the best for the canucks in his eyes or just the awful media and fans in vancouver is heartbreaking. Luongo is the sole reason I started becoming a fan of the canucks and all I've ever wanted was for him to lift that grey cup and take the weight of the world off of his shoulders for the first time in years. He truly deserves a cup and as my sig says I don't care where he goes if he does leave I will cheer for him in whatever jersey he wears no matter what.

I love you Lu, these trade rumors are breaking my heart and I hope somehow you stay with the canucks for years to come. Please. :canucks:

Always will love and support Cody Hodgson, great player, great potential great character, and I don't care about those stupid rumours about the trade. And we lost him, what a dissapointment. Love you COHO, forever a canuck in my heart!

One day Luongo will raise Lord Stanley's cup.
And show all those haters that he is the amazing goalie that he is.
No matter what jersey he wears, I will always be cheering for Luongo.

Forever Believe.

9.3 in goalies isn't that bad when we waste money on players like Raymond and Ballard more overpaid to bring in a true top 6 forward instead of random experiments with Kesler

Ya, Luo is seeming like cat stevens these days.

Hopefully we keep him on,,, he aint the problem.

SCORING as in mix of grit / finesse has been the issue in playoff losses of late. IMO.

Hopefully Kass can help this problem.

He may not be the whole problem but he didn't help himself much.

Moving Lou for a second liner would help more then keeping him.

IMO I'm hoping kass can help as well but lets keep this in prospective, he's a forth line player that has trouble cracking the lineup till he can show us he can be more.

I agree 100%, because we wasted money on Raymond and Ballard we should also waste money on goaltending. Talk to MG you may get a job as his right hand man.

Edit: for all of you that think he wants to stay and people read too much into his "has to" words, try telling you wife or husband that you would be willing to stay with them if you "had to". Then try and tell her or him they are reading to much into the words.
