We appreciate the professionalism of our players and their expectations of winning and staying competitive. Our negotiations were quite easy as our players are strongly committed to the Washington Capitals and we all share the common goal. We are still working on deals with Weber, we hope to get one done in the next day or so, stay tuned for more details. Our organization is unsure where his motivation lies, money or winning.

Over the next few days we will determine our future with Jay McClement, we'd love to have him back but we are unsure whether or not he'll compete for a lineup spot. Out of respect for him, we may ask him to sign with another team where he can play.

The Penguins are really happy to sign 25 year old, 78 OVL 3 1/2 Gold star Mark Stone to a 8 year $7.320M contract. ($0.915M annually)

Hopefully he can grow a lot in the next 2 years while playing beside Crosby and Kovalchuk or Malkin and Gerbe, regardless, I believe that this contract is a steal.

For some reason Charlie Patterson won't except his entry level contract. I'm going to leave the league for this advancement and see if the computer can get him signed if not there has to be a reason why he dosent accept. Last 2 years I tried signing him I though it was a contract number issue but I'm at 48?
