I just did a sim, but it now says the sim period is May 10-23rd. Still 2 weeks. I'm hoping it goes to 1 week for this sim, because it's Conference Finals now. The resigning periods don't sound that good, I wake up at about 8.30pm (That's 7.30 AM for me) and leave school at about 4 AM (3PM for me), so I'd only have 2 chances at resigning my players. The opportunity arose for us to acquire a good young 2nd line centre and top NHL goaltender. The Washington Capitals are thrilled to announce the acquisition of Henrik Lundqvist and Alexander Burmistrov to our organization. We feel they will make an immediate impact to our organization for next season as we continue to strive for Lord Stanley's Cup. Lundqvist and Burmistrov will be joined by 2014 first round pick defenseman Avery and RW prospect Baptiste, we feel those guys will hopefully increase our depth and compete for a spot on our roster in the future. We would like to thank the following players whom we've parted ways with; Tim Connolly, Thomas Vokoun, Michael Frolik, Tom Wilson, Carrier, and a goaltender prospect to be named at a later date. Drew Stafford is my leading scorer and he's out for 2 more games for me. If he comes back during the round, it won't even put him into the lineup unless someone else gets injured. Both teams will be set back with injuries to star players on their rosters. Pittsburgh LTIR: Sidney Crosby - 17 games Joe Corvo - 20 games Ben Lovejoy - 7 games New Jersey LTIR: Drew Stafford - 2 games Patrik Elias - 8 games Pavel Kubina - 31 games Robin Regehr playing injured for 1 more game. I'm really hoping it doesn't sim 2 weeks.....because Drew Stafford will be back in 2 games and I'd obviously like to have him in the line up.
