At 8 PM July 1st starts and we sim the overnight tomorrow, so from 8:01 to tomorrows sim is the first day of UFA Also, The Colorado Avalanche and Jonathon Toews may be parting ways. The Avalanche find Toews contract demands ridiculous and unless he is willing to meet us at our desired years, we will be letting him test the UFA market. Stay tuned! I have no intention of being caught with a 35 year old 84 with declining skills making 9.75m that I can't move for a 5th on my team. He will accept a lesser term or he will test free agency. FS91 Posted November 6, 2012 Share Posted November 6, 2012 That's a sexy deal for Toews. If the cap keeps rising like it does, it's a steal. And if you look at the current cap which is around 81M: 9.75/81M is roughly 12% of the cap so if you compare it to what the cap in real life is (roughly 70M), that's like Toews getting 8.4M/yr (8.4/70 = 12%).
