Anyone down for coach v coach later? I can play Colorado, Washington, Carolina or san Jose.

Also is there anyway to just watch the game as a coach? Cause if we're allowed to manually do line changes and change strategies then it's not really a genuine simulation.

I think we can coach vs coach but I don't know if its right to adjust lines or strategies in game. Sure since both teams are doing its fair but then against other teams who can't do it, is it really fair.

I'm on the fence. Sitting back and watching though is actually quite entertaining.

We'll let Trav decide, I'm on the fence.

I think for playoff games it could be quite interesting to coach vs coach

Can't you just not do anything as a coach? I've never played that mode, but I doubt the same line is going to stay on the ice for the whole game if you don't do anything.

I do agree though that it should be allowed in the playoffs. Playoffs are really anti climactic as it stands right now.

If you do nothing, it automatically does line changes for you.

You can do coach vs coach if you like, but I'd prefer it if you just watched them.

So there you go, I didn't give a straight answer.

Absolutely outstanding game between division rivals Panthers and Capitals in a coach vs coach matchup.

Final score 5-4 F/SO for the Florida Panthers.

The Panthers went up to a quick 4-0 lead early in the second, but Dale Hunter gave an earful to the team and the Capitals stormed back with 4 unanswered goals forcing overtime and eventually a shootout. These two teams hate each other and it showed on the ice. There were bodies colliding all over the place and scraps between whistles. The refs had several handfuls like a prostitute in downtown Vancouver.

Game studs on the Panthers side were Jonathan Huberdeau with 2 goals. One a deflection after taking a puck to the knee and another on a breakaway with a top shelf snipe. Sutter also helped with 3 assists. And Cammalleri with the top shelf shootout winner!

Game dud on the panthers side was Steve Downie who literally passed the puck back to the slot right to Chris Kelly who got the capitals their 2nd goal. That was the game swinging goal.

My team was brutal that game, shots were like 50 to 23. I'm happy to get the single point

Hockey's a game of bounces, and you got some favourable ones in the 2nd. I don't know if my team got cocky, or if this game actually has momentum swings.

Yeeeeah! I made the playoffs, despite having a bunch of injuries! :P

Also, I am expecting to hear LA being disappointed. You barely missed the playoffs, and Ottawa had Kopitar, for which you got nothing back yet. There could be an argument made that you would have made the playoffs with Kopitar.

I don't have Elias or Clarkson. I'd consider that even-ish.

I updated the Score Standings on the front page. Only minor changes though. Just the 1 point to division winners and 1 point to the President's Trophy winner.
