CanucksFanMike
Miami gets absolutely destroyed in this deal... happy that the Blue Jays came out on top though!!
The Purple Panda
^^ Dont forget about Josh Johnson. 2 years ago he was one of the best pitchers in the NL. Then he suffered injuries and came back decent. This is an insane trade
g_bassi13
Holy crap, what a win for the Jays.

stexx
im sad to see alvarez go. How can the jays afford reyes & buerhle did rogers stumble on a sack of money? or is miami going to eat part of their contracts. seems like a good deal for the jays but i must admit i have no clue who justin nicolino is besides that he was one of our top prospects. Phil_314
Wow, if this deal is legit then it looks like another powerhouse just emerged from the AL East! (Almost too good to be true!) Yanks, O's (from last season), Rays'll probably be around, hope the Sox rebound, now this; wow good job A.A., adding strong pieces like that (Izturis should also solidify the IF defensively) and their batting order looks pretty sick: Reyes, Lawrie, Bautista, Rasmus, Encarnacion, Lind, Arencibia, Gose can probably leadoff and Izturis to round it out (plus Buck has pretty good power from behind the dish) and that pitching staff, like it was listed out earlier, has Buerhle, Johnson, Morrow, Romero and Happ as the #5 guy
lee goren rulez69
holy crap, nice to see the jays open up the wallet for once. lol at the marlins, would not be surprised to see stanton get traded as well he just posted on twitter that he is pissed of about this trade
jannik freaking hansen
Loria doing what Loria does best. All that griping about needing a new stadium to finally garner some revenue, they go out and actually spend money in free agency only to get the same results. Looks like the Marlins will go back to having the lowest payroll in the league.
gragnanifan1
ok it doesnt get any better then this. now all we need is a manager and Left fielder and were ready absolutely roll in the al east!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gmen81
Blue Jays will probably still finish at 79-
FireGillis
As someone who doesn't follow baseball that closely, can someone tell me what makes reyes so impressive? His stats don't look that impressive to me, but he's a $100m ss?
Wilbur
Huge salary dump for the Marlins. Although they are getting some high quality youth in return. Totally worth it for the Jays as they have a lot of youth coming through the pipes. If they want to win during the Jose Bautista window they needed to make this trade. Gally
Good deal for the jays, Im going to be more interested next year but I still find it hard to sit through a full game.
ZackAttack-9
Finally I can feel good about my cell phone bill. 50M next year alone in salary, looks like AA is finally off the $$$ leash, thanks largely in part to huge merchandise sales for the re-branding of the team, plus somewhere in the area of 25% more attendance. Optimistic!! But what Blue Jays fan isn't.
