RAMBUTANS
With you all is that you are addicted to the game. After the 2004 lock-out, you rewarded the owners and PA with 3.3 Billion smackeroos. As an appreciation, they slapped you with another work stoppage a few years after. Now' there is outrage. Another season is lost. Everyone says that they will walk away from the game. A few say they will get even. Let me tell you what will happen, after the Replacement players are gone and the regular players are back, you will all go and fill up the arena and buy tons of jerseys. Yes, you will give them another 6 billion in profit. Six years from now, the NHL and PA will lock it out again and decide how to divide the loot, and round and round we go........because you are all addicted to the game. Where's Wellwood
You keep making these threads complaining about things people have complained about since the lockout started, and sounding like you're above it all and everybody else can't see what you do about the lockout. But we all know that both the players and owners are acting like spoiled brats, that we will watch hockey and spend money on hockey when it returns. This isn't a sudden revelation that you need to explain to us. Also, there won't be replacement players. There wasn't during the last lockout and having replacement players would be a terrible thing for the league. It would make the league look like more of a joke than it already is. -DLC-
1. You declared yesterday that you were boycotting the site or, at least, only going to read from it. Felt so strongly about it that you made a thread, instructing us on what we should do. What happened? Because, if you expect people to take you seriously or follow your lead, you have to back your words with actions that support them. You can't expect others to do what you're clearly not prepared to yourself. You've just discredited yourself by doing so and likely aren't in a place to state: "the problem with all of you" without including yourself in that. 2. This is not Canucks Talk. 3. Yes, many here are "addicted" to the game. You're a Saskatoon boy and imagine trying to convince Rider Priders NOT to return to football if the CFL did the same? No one would - people would be chomping at the bit to get back in the stands because they love their team. So, as someone from Saskatchewan, you likely aren't as connected to hockey as some of us but replace Canucks with the Riders to understand how we feel. 4. As stated, lockout thread. You obviously feel strongly about this, and that's fine. But to make endless threads when your contribution could/should be added into already existing threads just isn't going to fly. Thank you for presenting well though out ideas....for future reference, the lockout thread(s) are a good place for them.
