Alchemy Time
Yep. That's a small percentage. Thanks for proving my point
Kesler's Nose
I'd be happy to get a top 10.
warrchief
They will have the third overall pick and take Shinkurk. They'll be good. This is a deep draft!
thehamburglar
Like the Sedins, Linden, Kesler, Nedved, Ohlund, Schnieder etc.
Pears
What you are all forgetting is that each team will draft 2 sets. One for this year's lockout and the continuing lockout for next year.
Where's Wellwood
Because a lockout can last for two years.....

Derp...
we had a top ten in 2005 even though we only had one ball. Chances are low, but anything can happen if we get a top ten again that's a huge plus in this draft however. if we got the 30th pick we would also get the 31st so there is something said about getting a late pick too seeing this is a deeper draft than usual. Derp...
I'd love for us to snag Barkov this draft somehow. He's playing with Jannik Hansen right now and tearing it up at Tappara. He's so young still too 95 baby I think. Good 2 way C who has the potential to be great.

Burnsey
slim chance, can't remember how it works but read if a team has been quite successful in past seasons, which this team has with the president trophy X2, and SCF appearance, etc. they are less likely to get the no.
combover
bettman said in the summer there would be no lottery(if theres a lockout/ season lost) it would go by financials so the worst off team gets first overall.. funny that happens to be the Coyotes the team the nhl currently owns. i read that in september just before the lockout at sportsnet or tsn. MoneypuckOverlord
I wonder if we have the worst luck with 1st round picks.. Only a small percentage of ours go on to do great things with our team...
WolfxHaley
If a deal with Toronto goes through and we land their first round pick do we get their share of 3 balls or is it just 2? So would we have a total of 4 or just 2?

WolfxHaley
toronto's balls would equate to our balls, because wherever they land in the draft their first round pick would become ours.
SkeeterHansen
Sedins were 99, Nathan Smith was 2000. So we drafted 2 busts 12 drafts. How do we compare to similar teams? Nashville - 2 busts (Finley, Parent) St. Louis - 3 busts (Schwarz, Taffe, Belle) LA - 4 busts (Hickey, Lewis, Tukonen, Karlsson ) Boston - 4 busts (Hamill, Lashoff, Toivonen, Jonsson) San Jose - 4 busts (Wishart, Kaspar, Morris, Jilsson)
