they might bump him to suit how he is IRL...I mean an 8.0C forward prospect getting 13 points, wtf

I could see this happening.

If Nyqvist gets a significant rerate I will be thoroughly dismayed.

How would anyone develop after such a crappy year.

The way i saw it, yes he had a bad year, but it was because of a GM who didn't care for the team, terrible GM. The rookies do need some forward progression in attributes or it's pointless but at the same time I know he had some bad stats last year.

I have no problem with a small amount of progression, but if we see a significant jump I call for a veto.

LOL, you do realise trades before rerates are at the gms beware.. Dont we all wish we could have our players back after rerates.. A veto on a couple prospects for picks, heard it all now

Players are re-rated not only on their in-game stats, but their IRL performance and skills as well.

That's what the original re-rates were for. As one of the people in charge of this, I was told to judge this season's re-rates based on last season's performance. If whoever re-rates Nyquist decides to give him a massive bump, I'd be shocked/disappointed.

SOB is co commish of this league and doing re rates as well lol

Good to know.

Well, I'll still be disappointed if Nyquist suddenly takes off at 24 years old after a garbage season but it is what it is.

RL attributes account for a little bit of the rating process

EX: We all now Malkin is a superstar and is expected to put up 100 points a year and possibly 50 or 60 goals, if he puts up 50 points in his 1st season of STHS what would you propose we do

If I re-rated Nyquist, he'd probably be around the high 60's/mid-70's range (speaking from a PH, PA, SC, DF standpoint). PO would obviously be diminished. I think he should've started out as someone who could play a top-9 role on the Wings but the team was basically neglected, and you can't really hold that against players. That said, he'll probably be around the low-70's.

No reason to get bent out of shape

That's all fine but someone will pay Malkin 9 million because they know what he can do

If Chimon was to say he is only worth 4 million for putting up 50 points people would have their titties in a knot

Bent out of shape ? Just making a statement, very curious to see what he can do this year, hopefully he can be a 9m player

I don't have a problem with "natural" progression so to speak, but the people suggesting I gave up an 8.0 prospect are hopefully being ridiculous.

Is one bad year enough to label an 8.0 C prospect a bust though?

Also, doesn't being an 8.0 C prospect mean that he has the potential to be a 1st liner but may fall down 2 ratings (so in other words a 2nd/3rd liner)?

Obviously Hockey's Future is all prediction but at 24 I wouldn't be classifying him as a 8.0 C

Regardless the 8 means 1st line forward, Top 2 dman or Starting Goalie but the C means he may reach that potential but likely to drop 1 or 2 numbers
