So far I am only questioning the rerate for Desharnais. He was almost a PPG player in the regular season and was well over a PPG player in the playoffs, but he only went up by 1-2 points in scoring and passing IIRC. Other than that, they all look pretty good.

Wasn't me who rated him, but I'm not sure why his PH dropped despite putting up good numbers (78>76 if nothing was changed mid-season/after S1 re-rates). I'd probably give him 81 PH (+3) and 81 PA (+4) for this season's performance. Desharnais' SC already went up +4 (was 65 in S1) so I think that's fair for a playmaking centre netting 23 goals.

You are able to have 2 players looked at after the re-rates are done

Update: 6 teams left in need of re-rates and about 60 uncreated prospects (low priority).

Before anyone starts complaining about how their prospects hardly developed, bear in mind that only a few manage to actually reach their potential. Unless your player had a good year (I do keep ice-time in mind, but restricting a player's ice-time may hurt his development), he's not going to develop a whole lot regardless of how good of a prospect he is in real life.

There should be some exceptions though, like if a previous GM sucked and didn't have proper roster management. A player who's POT 60 or above should progress in every category no matter what IMO.

For the record I like 95% of my re-rates and understand them. I think 2 could be much better so the re-rate system put in place works well for me !

Can't really 'reward' prospects that play on the 4th line in the NHL with big re-rates, which some GMs did last season. For the prospects I've re-rated, what I've done is give them less of a boost (around +1-3) and subtract less PO (5 from the usual 10) if they've only played a few games (~15 or less). I just assume that they were sent back to their JR teams for the rest of the season.

See, I disagree with that. I had a feeling someone would bring up your first point, but that's not how it works in real life. If we want this game to be realistic, writing someone's year off just because of another GM's mistakes makes little sense.

JT Miller was the one player in general i was referring to. Top level prospect as we all know. He got 33 points with 17min of ice time last season in 63 games. His attributes barely moved but his POT sure moved down 10 points. I'm not gonna waste a re-rate on him but with no forward progression he won't leave the AHL in this game because he's not good enough to make a NHL team. So it's a vicious cycle of sorts..

Not complaining at all here as a FYI, just making a point of the game in general..

I guess that depends on your definition of "top level", but sure. Semantics.

And that's fairly average production for someone getting that amount of ice-time. I'm not really sure J.T. Miller is the best player to prove your point considering he could probably hang at the NHL level with his attributes at 20 years old. If he improves on his numbers from last season, as he should, he'll likely be good enough to be a top-9 forward at the age of 21 or 22.
