Ha ha! Thanks, and all I use is a really limited, crappy program free off the Internet, it's not even a proper mixing program really, it Audacity, I use it to recored and mix. :P Just imagine how good it could be if I used ProTools or something...

ProTools is good. If you could get something like Fruity Loops or Reason that you could run VST and VSTi's off of you'd have even more options. There's a tone of free VST instruments you can get online if you wanted to do some symphony-rock type crap. I mean, obviously your focus is on live instruments, but you'd have so many options.

I have Fruity Loops, and it's a bit tricky to use, but you can do a lot with it.

I wouldn't mind throwing the odd bit of synth or orchestral type stuff in a few songs. I use Guitar Pro 6 for the drums and bass tracks as well as any other non guitar instrument but it's so limiting, I'll have to give Fruity Loops a try. I used to have ProTools years ago but I've lost all the CD's and codes and what not...

GP6 is a lot more useful when it comes to drums for rock than Fruity Loops in my opinion. The most use you'd get out of FL would be orchestral or synth. There's some nice bass plug-ins that you can get for it too that sound pretty real. If you try it, be sure to look for some outside VST/VSTi's, because the ones that come with it are pretty much only geared towards the production of dance/trance/hip-hop music. It's a versatile program if you find your own plug-ins though.

FL9 XXL is really easy to obtain. If you need any help with it, or decide to try it and need some help finding some VST's I'd be more than happy to help. Just shoot me a PM if you need a hand.

I'm definitely gonna check it out. I'm guessing there's a demo or trail version?

GP6 Demo Songs

Ok, I don't have time to record all the songs I write so I've uploaded a few GP6 (Guitar Pro 6 is a program I use to write my songs, also I use the bass and drum tracks from it in my actual recordings) demo versions that I feel are a cut above the rest to Soundcloud and will post them here.

This one is a song I wrote for my dog:

Here are a few unfinished/still being polished songs:

Pretty good singing man. I have a pretty deadly ear, and I am critical of singers especially myself, and I honestly think you're good.

In your song, I would shorten the intro or throw a couple vocals in to it.

Other than it not being my type of genre, I thought it was very well done.

Your backgrounds sound great!

What kind of singer are you looking for? The link I provided below is a song I wrote with my vocals. I'm mostly just getting into singing.

I won't be offended if you say no. It's all about taste afterall. ;)

You're a great singer man! You honestly remind me of a mellow Geddy Lee!

I'm looking for more of a metal singer though.

You don't mean a screamer, do you? Gah, that ruins music for me.

No, god! Absolutely not! No, no, I'm looking for a person with a powerful voice with the ability to hit the highs if he has too.

Like Bruce Dickinson I guess.

But not just a pure screamer or growler, I'm not a fan of those styles of "singing".

I wanna hear those tunes with a singer!! Hurry up and go find one! ;)

I'm working on it! :P

Actually I found a guy who has a personal recording studio and he's in touch with a lot of musicians, I'm hoping I can meet a few of them.
