I think they should NOT hold any tournament in Russia or Europe so we Canadians can enjoy watching it live without exerting too much effort. i.e, waking up too early.

Then how fair would that be to European countries like Russia, Germany, Sweden and Slovakia? They've had to get up early to watch the World Juniors for the last 4 or so years

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Or they could have have just started it late. Like most games here start at 7 pm they should have done the same thing there local time so we can watch it around 5 am if it was 7 pm start local time, better start than 1:30 am start here.

Out of several countries in the World Juniors, I wonder who are the most passionate about the game. Hmmm...

;)

It's in UFA Russia.

I know, but come on now. This has to be the worst possible time.

A better solution would have been having an afternoon game there around noon and a 10 pm start here which I don't mind. Works well both ways, no?

I like the start time, works well for my work schedule (graveyard worker) haha.

Anyone know if there's going to be a free live stream of the game online?

Or am I going to have to hop into the first row.... :bigblush:

I am sure you could find them :bigblush: TSN should stream it on their site but I guess you can default to non-HD streams online.

I bet if you went to Russia their fans would be just as passionate, same with USA. Also the Swedish aren't bad either, super excited when they won last year.

Other countries are still passionate, maybe not quite as much as us but they still have a ton of passion.

For example last year when Sweden won gold for the 1st time in 30 years they were welcomed home like hero's, and Russia is very passionate about all levels of international hockey.

I don't think it's fair to those fans to continually have the tournament in NA.

I guess you guys are right. There are some European countries who are really passionate but you also gotta see with the World Juniors they have KHL and bunch of other leagues in Europe. While in North America we only have one real league that people really enjoy watching. And with that being locked out this year we really can't watch any games.

Maybe, this year wasn't the best time to hold the 'Juniors in Europe when there is a lockout going on. Oh well, I'll just watch the Replay Broadcast then.

Yeah I agree it would have been nice this year to have it in NA more so than others.

But that's the good thing about TSN they show the repeat broadcasts all the time which is nice so you can wake up and watch right away.

Its not like they play 1 tourny game per day. There are multiple games in a day, so making it convenient for every country is near impossible.

There are 2 North American teams the rest are European.

Have Canada/USA play early and other games later on during the day.

That is one game. Which I do believe is at 6/7ETish?

EDIT: I'm drunk. Another 4am ET game for CAN/USA. CAN/RUS is an 8:30AM ET game. But I think the host will always have late round robin games.

Staying up, but I know Germany isn't worth it. This will be over after a period, unless Subban is garbage - which is a real possibility.

Turn on TSN?

What if don't have TV? That's probably why he's asking.

Also, since I you have TSN (I assume) has it started yet? All I'm getting on the first row sports stream is old stories about hockey players and I also an add for the game which should be on now, so I'm kinda wondering...

Yeah that's why I put the ?

I didn't mean to sound like a jerk. He might be able to listen on TSN Radio, and the puck is just dropping now.

That backhand pass from RNH, then the dangle by Huberdeau was Sedin-like, in a non Sedin-ish way.

Probably just my bias though cause I think Corrado should be on the team lol.

This Canadian team looks exceptionally weak, yikes. With the showings they've had so far, i'll be surprised if they get any higher than bronze.
