Mustapha
I am surprised the US was able to hang on as long as they did, they seem to have serious issues scoring goals. TSN spent the entire night singing Subban's praises, but in reality, if it weren't for John Gibson, this game would have been over in the first period. John Gibson had to deal with some ridiculous shots, and although Subban stopped more shots than Gibson, USA's shot quality was not as good. Lots of trackable point shots and low percentage plays (shortside wristers from bad angles), and although the US team was able to strip the puck from Canada quite often, they seemed to be unable to create grade A scoring chances with the puck. The one goal the US was able to get was basically a fluke, and some of those US players were absolutely horrible (That Grimaldi kid couldn't make one decent pass the entire game) I would be worried if I was the States, because Slovakia is capable of upsetting them especially if they can't get more than one goal per game. I was expecting more skill from the US, but it was a close game at least. I really like that John Gibson, he's a good goalie. That Trouba kid can play too, I can see why he was drafted high. spliced
Pretty good game. Canada with played good defensively but didn't do enough offensively. I hope they can get the PP Clicking better in the future. Pass it when you should not when you have to.
hockeyville88
Not a bad game. Or maybe we're just starved for hockey lol The good: Great game for Malcolm Subban. Love his wingspan, even though he's not overly tall. Has great adaptability even though he's a butterfly goalie. Good game for the D Nice to know we can lock it up in tight games. The not so good: Poor entry into the O-zone on PP's. Took several tries to gain the zone and maintain possession. Not capitalizing on PP's. Could have something to do with the poor entry. Not enough shots. Not winning enough D-zone draws when shorthanded The poise of some of these players at such young ages is so impressive to me. Props to all the hardcore fans who stayed up. Good night folks!
EDLER.IS.BEAST
The russian fans were apparently cheering for the USA. We all know who they're afraid of.
Ossi Vaananen
Definitely going to be a good one, both teams are 3-0. The hype has been building since the Yakupov comments; combine that with Russia having home ice as well as Canada having a strong contingent of fans, and this one will be LOUD! Looking forward to the game, not the 6 am start. I can do late nights but don't ask me to get up that early after pulling one of these! GArgh! Ghostsof1915
I know I'm crying over spilt milk, but remind me again why Corrado was cut, when he was a d-man who was scoring, and defensively responsible?

UFCanuck
Subban was a game saver Trouba looks like a future beast for the Jets. Corrado > Reinhart and Murphy
etsen3
Solid effort last night, Subban totally proved me wrong. I didn't think he was all that bad the first two games but he wasn't that good either. Last night he was rock solid. Powerplay could've been better. Baercheese
Supposedly he was cut in favour of Tyler Wotherspoon. He's played pretty well so far.
Garrison
Another 5 Points 1. The goalies seem extremely good this year as Can, U.S.A and Russia all have goalies that can steal games 2. Trouba> Reilly and Reinhart (what a steal) 3. Seth Jones isn't great in his own end 4. RNH looks miles ahead of everyone else (Don't think this team would be 3-0 without him) 5. We need to capitalize on our chances
