Li'l Fra
File this under a bad idea gone wrong. I know they're friends, but Mark, what are you thinking? Domi used to regularly destroy guys twice his size...while wearing skates. All I can say is I hope your charity is the Red Cross...and watch out for the uppercut! Shift-4
Link? The only story I read about was them joking about it. Edit: actually just Mark joking about it.
D-Money
Wahlberg 'officially challenged' him. Said they should do it at the ACC. But yeah, may just be for kicks. Best quote: "We're gonna have to open the double doors so your head can fit through," quipped Wahlberg, 41, in his native Boston accent.
The Wizard of AZ
Wasn't Mark Wahlberg some street kid before he became famous? Pretty sure he punched some guy so hard he had to have his eye removed...

Li'l Fra
Yeah, I think Wahlberg can handle himself. Domi is a natural born killer, though. Tough as balls. The question is: Would being in the ring instead of on the ice level the playing field? I think Domi might find it easier in the ring than on skates. As in "Wow this is easy. I'm going to just walk over there and bop this guy in the face." Whether this happens or not is irrelevant. It's just fun to contemplate. Anything to lighten the lockout mood. Shift-4
The key is Domi is too stupid to realize that punches hurt. Not sure about Mark's level of intelligence on the matter.
Jägermeister
Not being on skates would hurt Domi's chances, not to mention the fact he's been out of the game a while. But he's probably still tough as nails. Would be a interesting scrap between the two little guys.

Dogbyte
One of Domi's best traits was being short and rock solid on his skates. Not so much of an advantage in a ring, I think it evens it up more but that's one fight I'd actually like to see.

S.Mouse!
A buddy of mine lived in the same area as Domi, as teenagers. He says guys always picked fights with Domi, because he was a local celebrity, before he joined the NHL. Domi would always whip their a$$es in short order. I think he can handle himself off the ice...
Down by the River
I would think that for a lot of enforcers in the NHL it would get frustrating to constantly get challenged outside of the rink. Any bar you go to, there is always going to be some drunk dumb schmuck wanting to take you on. For guys like Domi, fighting was part of their profession. I would be frustrated if people asked me to do parts of my job when I was out trying to socialize. That being said, I'd like to see that tilt. Both guys grew up fighting, but I think that neither of them really lives the lifestyle they used to.

nowhereman
Being a great fighter on the ice doesn't really mean much off it. Most hockey players would get their clocks cleaned, after a round or two with an experienced boxer. With Wahlberg's boxing experience, I put my money on him. brewdog
Domi always reminded me of Nicky from Casino (1995). I know fighting on ice doesn't really translate to fighting off ice, but anyone who can hold his own against Probert (Probert throwing haymakers for 2+ minutes, no less) would be a scary person to fight on any surface. Domi vs Rypien would be a fight for the ages.
