Not your typical star trek (what happened to space and exploring new worlds mantra?) movie trailer however, if this doesn't scream Khan (rumored Gary Mitchell or Garth of Izar) then I don't know what does...www.startrekmovie.com

Cool. I will probably check this out but you won't find me standing in line opening night.

If you like looking at statistics to determine who's better, you're just a casual fan.

2.41 season GAA isn't very impressive. Let's not get into playoffs and his SV%.

Cory Schneider is the next Patrick Roy.

This looks pretty sweet. Kinda more excited about this than The Hobbit. Nevertheless, i'll be going to The Hobbit and not this movie. Wife.

the bad dude in both movies is the same

Benedict Cumberbatch (it's his voice you hear in the trailer I posted) also does the voice for Smaug and does the motion capture for Sauron

You are only allowed one movie a year?

Hobbit comes out in December; and Star Trek in May; Then Hobbit '2' in December.... surely you could see one movie of your choice every 6 months.

All I saw was special effects and violence. There better be a freakin' story as well as the usual ST humour..

You got a good chuckle out of me though.

Personally - it's 'my turn' to choose the movie for the Wife and I to see.... been dragging it out as long as possible to make 'The Hobbit' the choice

Love that guy. He stars in BBC's Sherlock, which has been the best thing on TV for two years now.

It's a shame they only do 3 episodes a year, and that next season is delayed until 2013...but this would explain why.

Ill go if the plot doesnt involve butchering the laws of physics and time travel.

They did get a lot of things right in the first one, the characters were great.

Yeah, I watched it a million times. ::D

I'm pretty stoked for the new one. Been waiting for it to come out for so long. Hope it's just as good as, if not better than, the last one.

sucks to be you, the hobbit counts as my wifes choice :D and she enjoyed the most recent star trek, so I may not have to use a choice on this movie either... though it comes out right after our baby arrives, so I doubt I'll be seeing anything in theaters until probably august, maybe later.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

“All human nature vigorously resists grace because grace changes us and the change is painful.” - Flannery O'Connor

“My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line. What was I comparing this universe with when I called it unjust?” - C.S. Lewis

The lady will want to see Star Trek - that won't be a problem.

But she is not a LOTR/Hobbit fan.

Three years is actually a pretty short gap for Star Trek movies.

I'm assuming this is on the "alternate" timeline created from the previous film?

Sweet, I held out on the first one until it was released to home video, and man was I surprised at how well it was done, wish I saw it in theatre, not this time, I will be checking this out at some cineplex.

Huge Trek fan, have been since I was a kid (grew up with TNG) and excited for this movie, but I fear that Abrahm's is straying from what makes Star Trek Star Trek; what ever happened to "explore strange new worlds.."
