following up on the Top 10 Centre's thread. List who you think the top ten LW's are in the NHL. For my list I used TSN's determination of who is considered a left winger or not.

1) D. Sedin
2) Ovechkin
3) Kovalchuk
4) Benn
5) Zetterberg
6) Neal
7) Hall
8) Parise
9) Nash
10) Eriksson
HM: Elias, Landeskog, E. Kane

Landeskog plays RW, Benn and Zetterberg plays C

Im going by the players who actually play LW

My top 10 LW:

1) Parise*
2) D. Sedin
3) Kovalchuk
4) Ovechkin
5) Ryan
6) Lucic
7) Neal
8) Sharp
9) Eriksson
10) Hartnell

* Parise is a great leader and has amazing defensive skills so that is why he is my #1

I debated putting Lupul, E. Kane on the list but they just missed. If Lupul had another year like last year, I'd put him ahead of Hartnell

I'd move Nash/Parise over Hall

Hall had only 6 less points than Nash last year in 21 less games and it was only Halls second NHL season.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Just because Hall is an Oiler doesn't mean he's not a top ten LW. He is when he's healthy.

I agree with about 90% of yourposts and I value your opinion on most topics but i don't agree with that statement at all. evander lane landeskog and bobby Ryan are all much better than hall right now.

I'm just editing what OP posted, besides any player can easily transition to either wing.

Understandable, but it should be the position they play because then the top 10 list would be the same for RW and LW using that method

Guess EA screwed me up with that :P

EA is like that.

They still have Burrows at LW and have never fixed Girouxs FO

I think Nash would love to have Eberle, RNH, (any 1st/2nd liner on Oilers) on his line.

The Oilers are one of the worst teams in the NHL, please don't use the Hall's numbers are good becuase of his linemates arguement. If we go down that road I could say "I'm sure Hall would have liked to play with Jeff Carter most of the year too". Or based on this logic Nash's numbers should go way up now that he's with the Rangers playing with either Gaborick, Richards and/or Callahan.

I doubt that. carter only played 55 games last season.39 as a jacket. he posted a lackluster 25 points in Columbus and 34 altogether. he probably hurt nash more than helped him.

5. Loui Eriksson
6. Patrik Elias
7. Jamie Benn
8. Thomas Vanek
9. Ray Whitney
10. Rick Nash

Two out of four of sources say that Nash is a LW, and the other two say he's a RW. I'll just use LW for convenience here.
Three out of four sources say that Zetterberg is a LW and the other one (Wikipedia) says he's a Centre/LW.

It's kind of hard to say the top 10 ten LW's, considering a lot wingers play either side depending on the line.

Ray Whitney is the best playmaking LW in the NHL, how he isn't on some of your lists is mind boggling.

Puts up 5 45 goal+ seasons.

Still not good enough to be the best winger in the game.

Also, where the hell is Ray Whitney? Have you seen that guy pass?
