YUUUP!: Storage Wars sued by star alleges its fake

The worst reality show was the one that went into a Mennonite village. Every story line was scripted and the people in it were basically strong armed by producers to fulfil the shady contract they had signed to do a reality show. It ended up being nothing like they expected. They were forced to act out these scenarios but in the end the 'acting' was horrendous.

As for Storage Wars, it is pretty obviously faked but for the most part it is well done. Pawn Stars obviously salts its show . I believe American Pickers does the same thing to a degree but really who care..Don't we really watch to see the cool collectibles anyway?

The producers edit the show so that only the winning bids of cast members are shown. Obviously these guys can't win every auction as there seem to be a large group bidding for these storage units. So they just show the ones the cast members won.

As for the Pawn Stars asking for outside authentication, they can't possibly know everything. Like if autographs are really real or not. Plus the producers want to add a layer of authenticity to the show.

The question of why people choose to sell through the Pawn Stars rather than eBay or auction houses may have multiple answers. The main one being people need money fast because they lost all their money gambling in Vegas. Plus some of the items are hard to sell online. Like a cannon or a wooden peg leg. And some people really don't have a clue what they have is valuable. Like the woman who brought in some old jewellery that turned out to be Faberge. Or maybe the customers just want to be be on tv.

Lindsay Lohan Storage Locker To Be Auctioned Off

1212-lindsay-lohan-tmz-2.jpg

Lindsay Lohan is on the verge of losing expensive designer clothes, family heirlooms and potentially embarrassing items ... because she hasn't paid her storage bill and as a result the unit is about to go up on the auction block.

Sources close to Lindsay tell us ... LiLo has fallen behind on paying her monthly bill ... and now owes roughly $16,000 to the storage company.

The account is now delinquent and the locker can't be opened until the balance is paid in full ... and that's not going to happen because Lindsay doesn't have the cash. As we reported, her financial situation is so desperate the IRS has frozen her bank accounts because of unpaid back taxes.

So here's the upshot. If Lindsay doesn't get a big check for XMAS, her storage unit will be auctioned off this month. We're told she's reached out to family and friends to front her the money but so far no one is biting.

Talk about a good "Storage Wars" episode.

having watched the show I think its actually a minority and it's always good to have alt cast members. Hell one of them even got their own really bad spin off.

I like pawn stars but imo it's one of the most scripted in it's sub genre of reality tv.

'Storage Wars' Star Ordered to Pay $122,000 in Legal Fees

Does Dave Hester owe A&E a bundle in legal fees? Yuuuup.

davehester.jpeg.size.xxlarge.letterbox.jpeg

The former "Storage Wars" star -- who's suing A&E Networks and "Storage Wars" production company Original Productions in a complaint that claims the show is staged --- was ordered to pay $122,692 in legal fees to A&E and Original, after they prevailed in an anti-SLAPP motion.

In a tentative ruling, Hester was ordered to pay $96,735 to A&E and $25,957 to Original.

On the bright side for Hester, it could have been worse. A&E originally asked for $138,194, while Original wanted $43,283.

The reduction came after Hester objected to the claims regarding the staffing and hours that A&E and Original claimed to have expended on the motion. A&E said it had employed eight attorneys and four paralegals for the motion, while Original said it had used three attorneys.

Hester sued A&E and Original in December, claiming that he had been fired for complaining that the show had been rigged. Specifically, Hester alleges, the show's producers plant valuable items in storage lockers, which competitors then bid on, supposedly without knowing what's inside them.

Is this guy the dumbest dbag ever?

YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP
