Edler's Mind Tricks
Post your best (or worst) Canucks call in your tenure here. Using the Rep tab and going to the end is a good place to start. I wanted to trade for Garrison (specifically mentioning his attributes were the reason and not where he comes from) in 2010. I'd say that's pretty good. Link to comment
Master 112
Welp, for worst call, I really don't know... I've embarrassed myself for too many times here that I can't remember. For some reason I vividly remember saying 1+ years ago that I thought Honzik would end up being a solid player in the NHL one day. Guess that's not totally out of the question, but not looking good for him at the moment. Still, can't be my worst call here. Nothing for best call. Link to comment
Peace Bond
Can't recall a specific call that I've made, but I remember being utterly convinced that we were going to land Forsberg a couple years back. Link to comment
73 Percent
I believe I posted that coho would one day captain the canucks... Link to comment
avelanch
Corrado becoming awesome. Link to comment
Ghostsof1915
I got so sick of ZOMG Kopitar! I said he'd put up points, but never be a great player. His beast mode in the Stanley Cup run proved me wrong. Even though I understood why Gillis did it, I said the Ballard trade was a bad call. Not so much losing Grabner but the first round pick. Although Howden is doing roughly the same as Kassian at this point. I think the Canucks would be better off with Howden and Kassian. But oh well....I thought Gillis should have gone with youth, not an expensive vet. Don't worry TruCanuck I think a lot of people thought Cody would be a Canucks captain one day. I also said Toronto will rue the day they made the Kessel trade. Boston will just get better and Toronto probably will miss the playoffs whenever the league get's it's act together. Link to comment
AriGold
I found out where Ryan Sutter signed before it was public knowledge and posted it here. Nobody believed me till it happened the next day and everybody was like "wtf he actually went to the Wild ?" Link to comment
biznasty
I was pretty sure we were getting Schultz. Link to comment
Shift-4
Told people not to get excited last week when Fehr said they presented a good offer to owners. Link to comment
goalie13
I predicted that both sides were smart enough not to let a lockout happen again. Link to comment
Heretic
In 1982 I thought the Canucks were going to beat the Islanders and win the Stanley Cup! Link to comment
Wilbur
Called that when Burrows came up he'd be an every day player..... (I'll make this revisionist history and neglect the fact that I said it would be as a 3rd/4th liner) Link to comment
Jägermeister
I was convinced Sergei Shirokov would adjust to the NA game and become a top 6 player. I also thought Yann Sauve was an absolute steal in the 2nd round (still time to prove me right, but not all that likely) My negative predictions about prospects seem to be better, such as hating the Patrick White pick as soon as we picked him. susraiders
I called the lockout prior to last season and I called L.A. Winning the cup in the offseason. Link to comment
mau5trap
I called nuxforever and bruinsforthecup2011(aka royalflush) on the next two posts in this thread. Does that count ? Link to comment
Jaku
I posted once that that Canucks should make a deal to bring a power forward to Vancouver and one of the names I threw in the mix was Kassian. That's probably the closest i've come to calling something. Oh and i called that the Canucks would beat Nashville in 6 and San Jose in 5 on their cup run. Link to comment
The Bookie
In August 2010 I predicted 3 out of the 4 Conference finalists - Boston, Tampa and Vancouver. Only one I got wrong was Detroit, but they took San Jose to 7 games in the previous series, pretty close. Holding on to the email as proof. Link to comment
Common sense
I proposed a Sedins for Jokinen trade. That's as bad as it gets. Link to comment

SkeeterHansen
I predicted that Patrick McNally would graduate from Harvard with a 4.0 GPA, and become a superstar here in Vancouver by 2016. I was way off. Link to comment
