'No Bettman' -handing-The-Stanley-cup-to-the-winning-team anymore, into their union bargaining agreement. The league should appoint/choose a hall of famer Esposito, Orr, Hull, Gilmour, Robinson, Linden, to hand over the trophy to the champs. That would show powerful and honorable respect to the team, and fans. Linden, Smyl, Mclean etc. Maybe even have our Canadian dad Don Cherry pass it to the champs if Bruins or leafs win. Or the oldest captain of a cup winning team? Or Harper/Obama? Or Phil Prichard? Or Gretzky? I would go with the trustee. How about we have a season so a team can actually win the thing? Would rather watch Bettman drink champagne from it than have to look at Browns or Charas greasy hands touching that thing in our building. Already had to once, made me wanna puke.
