Yeah guess what bud...I don't watch Fox News, and I'm far from brainwashed,....but Iran has a state religion, and is run by Islamic law, so don't urinate down my leg and tell me it's raining by giving me stuff like "All the people are friendly there"...lol

When you haven't been there, why are you arguing with me? Have you ever met a Persian person before? The government is bad, yes and they have strict rules about not being able to drink alcohol etc. but their citizens are outstanding and friendly whether you are a foreigner or not. Just because the country is under Islamic law it doesn't mean it is a barbaric country. Guess what, America is also under Christian laws.

Bottom line: .. there is no chance of meaningful gun or ammo control in the US of A as long as the Military Industrial Complex prevails .. I am almost to the point where I hope America self-implodes .. they are getting close to the edge both economically AND morally .. problem is, they may suck us all down the drain with them ..

WE are watching an "empire" crumble" in upon itself .. the Romans and British are watching and laughing their collective arses off at America's failure to learn anything from history ..

Like it would be difficult to smuggle in or even produce ammunition. Remember we'te talking simple 100 year old technology here.

And it would also not be difficult to import nuclear weapons and biological weapons, whats your point? You really think that the 20 year old Adam Lanza would take his time to make a bunch of bullets and a homemade machine gun? We are talking about average joes here, not some gun making nut. In fact if they put in a law that prohibits people from making their own guns and bullets, it would help this out further. This isn't like the war on drugs. This is about limiting access to guns and making bullets expensive.

It may not have been founded on any religion but look at some principles that they put in place like the rights on gay marriage or abortion. It sure seems like it is run under a Christian law of sorts. You really do fail at observing what your government is doing.

No...no no no...you are not going to turn this around on me, bub. I'm very cognizant of what my OWN government is doing, thanks...you stated "America is under Christian law" This sir is BS, and I called you on it. This has nothing at all to do with me.

I don't think there should be a limit on ammunition man...jesus christ I've already made a point of saying that some people just like to go down to a firing range and relieve stress...Keeping a record is a great idea...just don't come up with some concrete limit because that's a bit overboard.

So we shouldn't make these laws because "some people" go down the firing range to relieve stress. "some gun nuts" might become pissed. Forget the majority because "some people" might be pissed. How is this democratic?
And you say Iran is backwards and America is not? LMFAO...Ok bud, I guess backwards is the new forward in America.

There are many sad historical examples of what happens when a majority, especially one that's been conditioned by elites, take it apon themselves to trample on the rights of a minority.

The real difference is if this place were OFFICIALLY declared Christian law? I myself would go ballistic. No one is ever going to tell me I have to bow down to ANYBODY, get that? The backlash would be so resounding if this country were declared to be under Christian law...I dare them to try that crap down here. I just dare them.

Ask yourself this stawns....how many, when running for President, even if they WERE atheist...would come out and admit it? Atheists are, according to studies and polls the LEAST trusted group in this country. Come now...do you really think that anyone would want to commit political suicide by telling the voting public that they have no religious affiliation? Do you think this person would have a ghost of a chance to be elected?

So what is your views on gay marriage, gay rights, abortion etc? Aren't there some states that have a ban on this? And yet you say that Christian values don't play a role in some of these policies. Maybe you should have another toke.

There you go, you answered your own question. US as far as am concerned is a Christian country whether you like it or not. You pointed out that the majority of people are Christian and the government should value Christianity or risk being not elected. So what is there to argue really?

Maybe you should get stuffed. I honestly see gay marriage, gay rights, abortion...to be HUMAN rights. I think that ALL humans, regardless of race or ethnicity or credo or religion or lifestyle should be given the EXACT SAME RIGHTS AS ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING. When did I say Christian values didn't play a role in these policies? I was talking about the FEDERAL government not being ruled by Christian values...State governments are an ENTIRELY different animal. The state I live in banned same sex marriage, and it pissed me off, because I don't feel any governing body should have the right to tell anyone that who they choose to love, and how they choose to live their lives is wrong. Live and let live...let these CITIZENS marry whoever the hell they want...it's none of anyone else's business, really.

The U.S. civilian gun market is worth only a few billion annually, and manufacturers that make big money off of government orders only have a piece of that pie, so no its not really a matter of the MIC.

As far as the U.S. crumbling, maybe, or maybe what we're seeing is an engineered crash to be followed by a reorganization that'll further benefit the Top Managers.

That is a definite possibility .. string up the elites NOW!!!!

Yeah and just what is that supposed to mean? What are you insinuating? What the hell do my personal views on gay marriage and abortion have to do with this atrocity? Absolutely nothing, that's what. You're doing nothing more than trolling me now, and I'm not appreciating it.

Freedom of Speech is mentioned in the Bill of Rights, which I would wager is what he was talking about.

Better not "wager" the mortgage, because that's a bet you'd lose.

I was questioning the relevance of the 2nd amendment, to which the other poster brought up "freedom of speech". There was no mention of the bill of rights as a whole.

No...I'm not a zealot when it comes to that particular amendment, I'm just not a fan of changing the Constitution especially when it means taking a right AWAY.

Many states have "taken away" your "right" to ride a motorcycle without a helmet, to smoke in public, to hold a baby in your arms while riding in a car and not wear a seatbelt....

Has the country disintegrated into anarchy because of the loss of any of these "rights"?

Well you'll notice that none of these shootings occur in places where the victims are likely to be armed.

Its almost as if the shooters were deliberately choosing places where regular folks can't carry guns due to laws or regulations!

You've never heard of Fort Hood? One would assume that there was going to be a gun or two there....

Man...first of all...those "rights" you mentioned are not "rights" in the first place. There was never anything in the Constitution giving the right to any of those things...there are however things mentioning "Freedom of Speech, "Freedom of Expression", "Freedom of Assembly", the right to a speedy trial, "Freedom of Religion", et cetera. These are the BIG ones. If the government ever tried to **** with either of THOSE rights, I wouldn't be surprised to see a violent backlash. And yes...states have taken those things away...but the FEDERAL government has not, so they are in essence irrelevant to a discussion on federal laws.
