C'mon, who seriously gives up 8 goals in 1 game on a Stanley Cup finals? We should have won it, we were ahead 2-0 on a Best of 7 series. I think he also made a bad call by taunting Thomas.

Meh. If I had to pick an MVP from the Canucks that series, I would pick Luongo.

As bad as he was, he was still our best player that series.

Didn't Henrik have like 1 point that entire series?

Anyways, it's much easier to fault the goaltender than it is to fault the team. That is why you are wrong and your opinion is invalid. You just want a quick fix.

Buddy I called this EXACT situtation on here two years ago and was flamed, so I guess I have a bit of hockey knowledge, not to mention the 4 years I played in the OHL idiot.

We talked about it and I said before the overtime that this is where legends are born. I thought about Luc and I said: Lets get the arrow up there. And I was able to get it. I think Jon Casey gave up 8 in 1991, unless he got pulled in the game, I'm not sure.
Either way, Luongo is among dubious company if that's the case. At least he's not alone...

The team as a whole didn't show up. But yeah, 8 goals is unacceptable. Those are the times you stand on your fu*king head.

So? 18 skaters couldn't even score more than 8 goals in an entire series. And no, he didn't directly taunt Thomas. He was expressing his opinions and the media twisted his words so it seemed like he was taunting him but in fact, if you actually watched and listened to all of his interviews during the Cup Finals, he wasn't even doing any trash talking at all. Just stating what he would do if he were in that situation, not saying Thomas was a piece of crap goalie.

He needs a change of scenery I suppose. Itd be very awkward if he plays back-up to Schnieder.

Im still pissed about how Marchand speed-bagged Daniel and nobody did anything about it.

Burrows and Lapierre for putting up some fight!

Yeah great leadership he showed whinging about people not pumping his tires when we're ahead in the series then getting lit up.

 To Lou as player of the series.

Can we start a new hate campaign? Luongo is getting boring. How about Billy Sweatt? His last name is gross, he's a republican, an Apple fanboy, and he didn't play very well in his few NHL games. TRADE SWEATT !1!!!1!111!!

Luongo has a history of choking in the most defining moments of his career, going back to his appearances in the Memorial Cup and World Juniors.

He has defined himself as a player who likes to stroke his own ego and chokes when the chips are down.

The original Luongo to Van trade was one of the biggest in Canucks history and the Luongo outta van trade has the potential to be just as big. This will be one of the defining moments of MG's career, also.
