Beer made from bull testicles to be brewed

Published Thursday, Oct 4 2012, 9:40am EDT | By Lucy Cave

An American company will brew beer made from bull testicles.

The Wynkoop Brewing Company in Denver, Colorado has called the beverage 'Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout'. It is inspired by the state's popular dish, which is deep-fried bull testicles.

The idea was initially an April Fools' Day prank.

The company confirmed on their website: "Yes, the beer was inspired by our April Fools' spoof video this spring, in which we claimed to have released a beer made with bull testicles.

"When we sent out the press release and the video link last April, we heard from brewers and beer writers who thought the beer was for real and loved the idea. They wanted samples."

They describe the beer as an "assertive foreign-style stout", adding that they hope people go "nuts" for it.

Man wins testicle-eating contest

Published Thursday, Nov 13 2008, 11:06pm EST | By Michael Thornton

A man has won the Shepherd's Shemozzle contest in New Zealand after biting into a bull's testicle.

Josh Masters saw off the competition in the annual Hunterville event, in which participants had to carry the raw gland in their mouths for 50 metres.

Competitors then had to drink a raw egg and eat some dry Weetabix before washing it all down with a can of beer.

Masters commented afterwards that the feast was not as difficult to stomach as might be expected.

"Best of all, [the testicles] weren't connected to anything," he said

How much will it cost? Hopefully those customers with their hard-earned money won't end up getting the shaft.

I understand it goes well with a tossed salad.
I love rock and roll, just put another dime in the juice box baby.

Are they getting the rights to that AC/DC song?

McCoy: We were speculating. Is God really out there?
Kirk: Maybe he's not out there, Bones. Maybe he's right here. [points to his heart]
